[AOKP][7.1.1] / TWRP RC2: Date is set to 1970 on startup

Sorry for posting here, but I'm not allowed to post in the development forums. I've recently installed the AOKP ROM and everything works flawelessly. The only issue I have is that the date is set to 1970 on reboots. It automatically updates when a internet connection is etablished, so it's no big deal. But I wonder, if I can fix this somehow? I'm not sure if it's related to the ROM or maybe TWRP?

Hello... Installed it the day it's been released. Didn't notice this issue with Pure Nexus installed.

Anyway, I reverted to RC1 as people report problems restoring backup.
