This thread is for those that still cannot post in dev section and for any questions that is not related to that ROM developments. I hope we can enjoy our HTC Legend as much as i did and continue its wonderfull life until the end.

You also can share your experiences/review on using the ROM, questions that you want to ask even as for how to install/flash it, suggestions and contributions for the ROM are always welcome.

zip files of original strings.xml and arrays.xml attached for our fellow friend hbr7 or anyone else interested to help to translate the english strings and arrays xml that i have attached HERE to polish language (will fix fc in ROMControl -> navigation bar options).

I'm a lurker who initially registered to download files attached to the forums. I'm really impressed by your work, particularly for such an old device. I own it right now and ran your MIUI rom throughout its iterations as a daily driver and was not disappointing. Keep up the good work.

Hi, the good news...
I flashed and used this rom all of today, after a fresh flash with no added apps this rom is awesome fast and has great features and stuff!
Bad news, once I put link2sd and put all my apps back on, it became laggy as hell.
I note that other user used a2sd, when I used it with zeubeas rom I had too many issues hence why I switched to link2sd I've got 112 apps which works out to be about 350 MB including davlik cache. When using cm7 I also have all the same apps and link2sd with no lag...
So, I'm thinking the issue might be about low ram availability obviously I'd say ICS has a lot more overheads than cm7 which could be why ics is more laggy with lots of apps installed...
Maybe I should not put so many apps on :banghead:

Hello all! I too have been a lurker for quite some time and I must say your MIUI rom was awesome but there are things which are preventing me to use MIUI or AOKP or any other ICS rom on a daily basis - the fact that I cannot manually select network operator is at the moment only drawback for me I live near a border of another country and there is too much interference from foreign network operators...

Still I am glad that there are people who still care for our old Legends, so thank you very much and keep doing the good work!n:good:

I have no idea where to look at for that issue, no error at all in logcat but it seems like a common issue for any ics based ROM so i think it might related to the kernel. Well, seems we still don't have kernel developer at the moment. Will be great if we have one..

Haha.. farukb,i dont think so.. LOL just kidding friend..

Last time i also use ext partition and use apps2sd and after that link2sd but too many issue along with battery drain that i face, so instead of sending it to my sdcard, as i saw my /system/ have some few free space, so i just convert some apps to system apps and save some space in /data/.. so far seems good and i havent have much time to install that much apps..

May i know how many of you want a carrier label in status bar? if majority wants it, then i will provide the flash file and push it thorugh OTA on the next update. If not, then i will just attach the apk files.

Next update will include the torch and the options for it in ROM Control (while screen off, long press power button to turn on torch, release it to turn it off)

Fix Network Selection

Fellow in LG P500 forum has been able to fix the manual network selection (or at least as it seems). I'm very excited and super confident that we also can apply the fix to our device (not using the same files of course but using the same idea, techniques and approaches.

I'm very busy at the moment and couldn't find any spare phone so that i can use my current legend fully for testing only. Anyone interested to join the force and do some testing/research on this?

There's a problem with navigation bar settings. Rom controler crashes after I choose it. Funny thing is it only happens in Polish. It works as it should when I change it to English.

Seems like bad translation file. If i want to find which line is having typo/got undesired " character(s) or any other character(s) is like trying to find a needle in the sea for me. Can you translate it?

Attached are the apk file that didn't give you fc when you select that menu but all strings is in english. Refer to the screenshot below.

Sorry, for now you need to apply the fix manually using adb or root explorer. Dont have much time now to create the flash file and/or preparing it for update through OTA. Dont forget to clear dalvik cache and cache after you replace the file.

Attached are the string and array file in english should you want to translate it for poland language.

Only translate the portion after > sign and before < sign.

example;

<string name="app_name">ROM Control</string>

change only ROM Control into your language.

Could you give me polish versions of strings and arrays files? It would be easier to check the translation than made it from the beginning...

Ouch, totally forgot to attach the original. Rushing to go back home from work and i dint have pc at home..

Anyone can help decompile the file? Take both arrays.xml and strings.xml from res/values-pl folder. Or else, have to wait till saturday, tomorrow is our national day..

In that case, will attach it when i have time then.
It is possible for me to patch it, but since you want to help, and polish is your language which should made it easier for you, i think i shouldn't be so greedy to do all the things by myself only..

Anyone having similar issue with other language can report it here and if you wish to help as well, you are more than welcomed..

GPS... no fix

Hi, first of all thx for the porting. Can someone tell the aokp-team to change this extremly ugly logo?!

Back to topic:
Before i installed this rom i used homics venus ang got gps-fix very fast. Now i didnt get a fix even after 30minutes.
I used the same settings as before, copied the gps.conf from venus, flashed gps.legend.so, made changes to gps.conf beloging to my region...
But still no fix.

Anyone the same prob? Maybe any idea/hint?
