You get it wrong. He thanks all of contributors and other devs for help, as everyone work together to make roms for our phone.
As of now, it looks like its alpha build or even pre-alpha.
If you want to test the marshmallow on z1c you can install the vanir newest build, but the sim card isn't working.
Maybe someone knows if FXP or Vanir will make new build as of now they aren't update for a while.

Seems like recovery doesn't show ext sdcard when on this rom, so can't restore backup on ext card, unless you flash a different rom, then reboot recovery...
Definitively not rom-related. Are you using real recovery (one can boot directly into recovery from powered-off device without system/boot.img installed, that is)?

Yes. I'll check it again, (I'm currently back on 5.1 rom), but it was pretty clear - when I booted recovery from AOKP mm rom, there was no sign of micro SD card, either in 'restore', 'file manager', or 'mount'. Then, I flashed RR 5.1 rom, rebooted recovery, and it was back.

Because I could not reproduce this, recovery mounts ext sd just fine, no matter which rom or no rom at all..

quote from OP:

it doesn t matter if you flash it with your TWRP but better use the boot.img in the rom as OP suggests so.
