I don't want to test formatting my sd card inside the rom, but can you confirm that the "SD-Card format hard brick bug" is not there (like in AOSP)? :D

Just installed the rom. I can report the following things:
- Clean install worked fine, setting up worked fine too
- Phone loses date and time at startup (whatsapp error)
- Cam not working
- Performance is bad (its like energy saving mode in cm12.1, no smooth animations and scrolling)
- pre installed mGerrit app is very unstable (force closing many times)
- Wifi and Mobile data working fine. Didn't test bluetooth yet.
- SD Card gets detected

No daily driver for me, cause of bad performance. (have this bad performance on AOSP too. Vanir has very good performance, but last build is from 1801...)

What's the point of installing it when it doesn't have camera working
Testing - one important thing for developing...

After flashing this I am completely unable to go into recovery, it bricks itself with no return whenever I do try and go into recovery

okay folks, next update will have wifi/sim/bt/cam all working BUT I am holding out on next update till some new changes get merged on CM.

There area lot of changes pending on CM tre. cdesai and kali- are testing a whole bunch of changes to move to using AOSP blobs instead of Sony vendor blobs for many parts.

You can check topic:aosp on review.cyanogenmod.org.

Once they are tested and merged, we will have a lot of things working then,
    9
I've tested the (almost) latest official one, and here's my mini-review on that.

    1. Flashing & setting up.
I used TWRP 3.0 to clean, erase and flash everything needed.
The only files I downloaded and flashed, one after the other, was "aokp_sirius_mm_nightly_2016-05-15.zip" from basketbuild, and "open_gapps-arm-6.0-nano-20160518.zip" from opengapps.org. See main post for details.
Nothing weird or out of the ordinary. We all know the procedure too well.
Once done it was time to boot it up. I see the classical AOKP boot animation. I plan to replace it later on, with a different AOKP-inspired boot animation. I'll write about that later on.
After the boot up, which took a few moments extra due to the empty/recently erased cache, I got into a typical setup-guide. I gave it my details and my preferred settings.
There's a few extra steps in the setup-guide that I don't recognize at first, but they go through some quite useful tidbits. I guess they're part of the AOKP experience. Neat.

Since I also flashed Open Gapps (Open source Google-Apps), the "first-boot-setup-guide" also include the google account setup, Nothing out of the ordinary there.
    2. First run and glance...
Well. There I am. At the fresh default home-screen. Looks kinda like the ordinary Cyanogenmod... or... is it the one? Trebuchet? Oh wait... it is. Of course it is.
I start to fling around in various menus and a few apps. Testing out things such as app switching, copy and paste, various settings, the onscreen keyboard.
Things work well, and despite it just fresh out of first boot, things are speedy and I don't notice much lag at all.
I also notice that the device is cooling down despite that I flip and fling around like mad man. Device got somewhat warmer during the flash stage, so it is nice to see it is cooling down now. It's a good sign that power consumption is as low as it should be.

I fling myself int othe theme section, and see that it can use Cyanogenmod based themes. I download my favorite one and activate it. Works like a treat. Fancy!
    3. Connect and download stuff.
I slam right into the wifi settings and connect to my home wifi, and it works as intended. Nothing fancy. I connect the device to a "pure" 5 GHz router. (No crap like 2.4/5.0 combo)
Works great. No disconnections or instability. I test the connection stability by downloading a 16 GiB large test-file onto the external sdcard. As stable as it can be. Full speed ahead. It seems to bottle out around 5 MiB per second, but that's a device limitation, and not to be blamed on the ROM. I expected it. I get the same limitation on any ROM, including the stock ones. So nothing to complain there, seen to the software/ROM.
    4. The AOKP tidbits.
It is nice to see that there is an AOKP-based section under the settings menu, with the bits that the AOKP dev team picked out.
I find them useful enough so that I don't have to install Xposed module Gravity Box. I guess that is part of the goal here. To pick out useful settings without the need to rely on external modifications.
    5. Testing the hardware.
Well.. here I start to notice the flipside of this story.
Let's start with the camera. It's dark. REALLY dark. Daylight pictures looks like they're shot in poor lightning, and indoor pictures look like they're shot in the night with a poor flashlight.
It also seems like the only working camera app is the one included in the ROM. If I try any other app that uses the camera, they lag INSANELY, and some even crash out.
Open Camera doesn't work at all. It freezes over and won't respond to anything. I have to kill it in order to get back on track.
Front camera works though, if I am patient enough to wait out all the lag to reach the camera switch function in the camera-apps.
The device gets REALLY hot while the camera is used. To a level where the device overheats, and everything lags due to thermal throttling of the CPU.
Once I kill/close the app using the camera, the device start to cool down again, and eventually the device return to normal operation once it goes below the thermal throttling threshold.

NFC doesn't work at all. If one tries to turn it on, it gets into a loop where it tries to turn NFC on, fails, turns off, retries, Turn it on again... over and over.
The only way to stop that loop, which also happen to heat the device up, is to turn NFC off again. Sometimes one have to reboot in order to get out of the on-off loop.

The Wifi however, is stable and good. Nothing to complain about that. As in earlier.
    6. Conclusion.
However... The two hardware-related fails is a deal-breaker for me. (Camera and NFC) (Which are expected. No other third party ROM above 5.1 has been able to make the camera or NFC work. So if one can live without these two functions, this ROM is good.)
For now, I will stay with Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly on my Xperia Z2. There everything works great. But I have to rely on a few Xposed modules in order to get what I want. But that is better than the backside of this ROM in its current state in my opinion.

I really hope that the last wrinkles will be ironed out, and if they are, I'm on.

Can I make a wish here?
Create a "Not working / Unstable" section in the first post, and list Camera and NFC under there.
