@phhusson

I really like AOSP 10 v.222 but can’t get it to work on my Samsung A6 (SM-A600FN).

I start from stock Android 10, flash TWRP using Odin, reboot to TWRP. For some reason, at this stage, I can never mount the data partition so I always have to format, and reboot to recovery first.

Then factory reset, install system-quack-arm32_binder64-aonly-gapps.img and reboot. Goes straight to download mode. If I install a phh-modded version of Magisk before rebooting, I get a bootloop.

However, if I install Kraken-Kernel ver. 13.1 developed by @SPARTANICUS, it will boot. This version is specially developed for the A6 on Android 10. https://github.com/OGSPARTANICUS/DO...KRAKEN-Kernel-RC13.1-A600X-OneUI-20200325.zip
I’ve tried other kernels, including stock Pie and Q versions, but nothing other than this one work. RC14 and RC15 versions of the Kraken won’t work either.

When it does boot, I have 3 issues… no MTP, periodic reboots for no reason, and absolutely no sound whatsoever. Would anyone have a build.prop command or similar that might enable the sound?

Does anyone have linphone working? I first thought it may not be properly working for me because my smartphone is so low end, but it could also be an issue with the rom.

It partially works but it often just freezes, sometimes when opening the app, sometimes when disconnecting a call, sometimes when trying to accept a call...

@experts How important is the power_profile.xml in the AOSP10/vendor/hardware_overlay/device/model/...

I have a cubot X19 that does have 4000mAh battery. Will it automatically be picked up by AOSP ? (there is no vendor/hardware_overlay for this model) as I could not get any power_profile from the /vendor partition/
use Advanced Charging Controller App
It is compatible with the device CUBOT X19 and saves the battery and stops charging at 80%

Linphone isn't the most reliable all at the best of times as I know to my cost over many years. I've just found Softphone in the app store which is better for me so you might want to try that

try using in-built AOSP SIP in Dialer

Android sip support does not seem to be built in, calling accounts settings are empty. But that's kind of besides the point.
1. There are many reasons to use a 3rd party sip client. for example features like call forwarding/conference calls
2. It would still be interesting to know if there is some issue in the rom interfering with linphone. (don't know if that is the case)

If linphone really is buggy I may switch to another open source client, there are a few others in fdroid.

you should just insert account info, like IP address and port of SIP-server, username/pass etc

But that's kind of besides the point.

1. your SIP-server doesn't support features?.. for sample, i installed and tweaked Asterisk and that server have *2 and # for forwarding calls and 555 number for conference room
2. i guess probably device related. i tested LinPhone few times before in Q/R GSI, on my device works without issues (but finally my choise - in-built SIP integration)

If linphone really is buggy I may switch to another open source client, there are a few others in fdroid.
if i remember correctly, i did test LinPhone in CAOS GSI (which is based on AOSP R) and it worked fine. anyway, try another clients

I installed the latest Android 11 ,AOSP 11.0 v300.j ,on my elephone E10,mediatek device(stock with Android 10)
Everything works fine, except there is no sound with calling, all the other sounds work.
What to do about it,do I have to flash another vendor.img, which one, from where,in my stock rom the vendor.img is unreachable in the super.img...
Thanks for some advice

Hi,
i tested AOSP 11.0 v300.j from phhusson with my honor 9. But i have one problem:
1. My samsung sd card can't formatted. After 40% i get a bubble at the bottom screen with a stacktrace. Something like: VolumeInfo.GetId was null. After a few seconds phone restarts.

Hello,

i tried to flash the AOSP 10 on my Huawei P Smart 2018, but i got the following problem:

Bash:
sudo fastboot -u flash system system-quack-arm64-ab-floss.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse 'system' (460796 KB)...
OKAY [ 17.122s]
writing 'system'...
FAILED (remote: sparse flash write failure)
finished. total time: 17.220s
I then used the adb shell, and it seems my system partition is a bit smaller than 2.3Gb when the image size is 2.4Gb (but i am not certain of my interpretation about this problem).
So my question is, can i find a lighter build of this image to try it ?
Building one would be a technical challenge for me and my little laptop, and i don't really know if the resulting image would be smaller than PhHusson's.

I precise that my phone is unlocked but not rooted, and currently running the stock EMUI 9.1 (and i am using the stock recovery too).
If anyone can help, thanks in advance,

a potato

do not use floss build, use vanilla and install all FOSS apps which you need

I mean the settings are empty:
calling_accounts_alcatel1.png
On a different rom on a different phone there are sip account settings:
calling_accounts_sanders.png

No idea, it's the SIP server of my ISP. I guess I should run my own relay, especially because they only allow connections from the IPs of their internet connection.

Thanks for testing, I guess it could just be my phone.
