Hi,

Im testing treble rom on Xiaomi Redmi 6,

..snip..
Thanks for the report.
I added it in the list of devices on which we disable sound effects:
https://github.com/phhusson/device_phh_treble/commit/47062277a4fcf6bb0f6f5efafa12f48100ae1ac6

Next time I recommend you post your issues at http://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/, you could probably have got help. (ok perhaps not at that time of the day)

Notch isn't working anymore on the p20 lite after EMUI 9 update
Should be easy to fix I guess.
Please open an issue at http://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/ withthe result of getprop command when running on GSI.

Hello!
I'm a new member, I'm assuming this is where bug reports should go. notify me if they're not supposed to go here.
Device : cactus / xiaomi redmi 6a

The issue is that 4G doesn't work at all (calls, SMS dead) which is not surprising, however everything would be okay if 3G (still receives 3G calls, and SMS just fine) didn't report an "out of range" at all times.

..snip..
Issues are preferred to go to http://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/

Why is 4G not working not suprising...? (ok voice calls that's expected)
Does data connection work in 4G?
when you say `an "out of range" at all times"`, you mean that sometimes (like every 1 hour, though that's much more random), the modem will crash/say it's disconnected, and doesn't come back until reboot?
If so, that issue is under investigation, though feel free to open an issue anyway.

Successfully flashed on my Mi 9, v113, all works fine but instead to have 4g on SIM1, i have 3g, i'm not use dual sim...why?
Go in network settings, and select 4G.

I Don't know when i should record a logcat: Should I record when i'm attempting someone to call me, or just idling the device?

Everything works on 3G/4G on AOSP oreo. I don't know if that's a vendor issue or not.

*4G can't receive anything,
3G can do both with no signal display,
2G works just like 4G except with SMS working and only that
you need to use 10.2.5 vendor , everyhting work fine on my redmi 6a , except incoming sms on 4g
let me know if it help

Go in network settings, and select 4G.

I've already flashed LOS 16 (much more stable there, and OMS theming is unlocked) but for your question, the answer is:
-out of range, as in, from the very moment i start running on 3G. it always reports no signal, but SMS and calls come in just fine. Can't test data connection on 4G since i don't have a data plan.

a consultation with experts on the subject

In my case installed by means of fastboot since my model does not have TWRP recovery. not Root available :(

Because when a rom does not have the included Gapps, I can not install, or operate the Play Store by Apk?

If I install the Apk simplemete closes the App of the store :(

Why is this problem? Can they only be installed by TWRP?

Is it because they must be system app and be in that directory?

I tried to install/update to MIUI 10.3.5.0 vendor image but Wi-Fi stop working, it doesn't turn on.

Has anyone try it?

PD: not sure if it's important or not to update it, I just wanted to try it.

PD1: I'm using an older (10.2) vendor, it works perfectly.

Hello! Thanks for the great job! Everything works on my huawui nova 2. There is one thing: bluetooth connects to the PC, sees everything around, but doesn’t want to pair with the bracelet of the honor band 3. Any idea what could be the reason?

Same here for the band 4

There is a known fix for that, though it's not properly documented.
If you browse https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/ you should find it somewhere.
It's a setprop persist.sys.bt.......

Your message is not clear whether no automatic brightness is an issue for you or not, but anyway, if you want it fixed, you can open an issue at http://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/issues/ with your stock rom framework-res.apk attached.
Basically what you have to do is create an overlay, you can see how at https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/How-to-create-an-overlay?
You can get help to do that either in the issue you'll post, or on the telegram channel @PHHtreble

Has anyone got this working on a blackview A20 ?. I mean the dev tested the initial release on a A20. I can see in the beginning of the post. I'm struggling to get this working on a A20, with the latest release. I've downloaded the arm 32 a only, cleaned the cache etc as recommended. i'm using the gemini twrp recovery, as it's the only one available. The blackview a20 has android 8.1 go, and has boot loader unlocked. Thank you for any replies. After flashing and rebooting it gets stuck with fastboot written in white, the rest of the screen is black.

Greetings everyone, and once again thanks to phhusson for your work. I'd like to ask the developer two things. First: is there any news about USB and Wifi Tethering being fixed? Seems like it doesn't work on some devices, or, is there any suggestion you can make so those of us affected can fix it or help to fix it?
Second: Could you compile a version of your latest launch for those devices with only 1GB system partition, as you did with a previous, test release?

Thanks!

can anyone point me to the SMALLEST gsi available?
I have an android GO device mediatek mt6580 and every one of the gsi I try to flash gives sparse image span overflow, meaning the system.img is just a little too big.
any help appreciated.
Thanks

WARNING: You'll most probably loose ALL your data, and might break your phone. Please use with extreme caution!

The goal of this ROM is to provide maximum hardware compatibility inside a Generic System Image.
No feature will be added. This will ease forward porting to new Android versions, which is the very goal of Project Treble :)

My hope is that other ROM developers will use this ROM as a basis to construct more advanced ROM.

    How to flash:
    Follow instructions available at https://www.xda-developers.com/flash-generic-system-image-project-treble-device/

    What doesn't work:
    - NFC on some devices
    - Front camera on Razer Phone
    - Stock AOSP camera app on some devices. Please use OpenCamera app
    - many graphic glitches on Moto E5

    What works:
    - Pretty much everything else

    Tested devices:
    - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Exynos
    - OnePlus 6
    - Blackview A20
    - Koolnee Rainbow
    - Cubot X18 Plus
    - Pixel 2 XL (running Android 8.1 vendor)
    - Lenovo Moto E5
    - Allview V3 Viper
    - Razer phone
    - Huawei View 10
    - Huawei Mate 9

This is an experimentation, this means that I'm mostly interested in bugreports.
But, I don't want too many reports, so please:
    - If you use a community Treble, ASK YOUR TREBLE DEV FIRST (then they can come ask me here)
    - I want bugs only about hardware features, not software bugs
    - A bug without a device name doesn't exist
    - A bug without a log doesn't exist

    Downloads are available at https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases/tag/v119

Been using it for more than 24hrs on a Razer Phone. Battery seems slightly better than in stock MR1, cameras do work except for the frontal one. Everything else, excluding the exceptions mentioned in OP, works perfectly, snappy and at full 120hz.
