Thanks for this, didn't know how much I missed using this browser until I installed it. Like others have posted, doesn't seem like my sync worked, most likely I didn't hit a proper setting somewhere. I do appreciate the setup though

Both .apk's are returning errors on my N7 2012 (4.3 unrooted) when attempting to install them.

Install the browserproxyprovider located in your system/app folder. The. Reboot and install browser.

The browserproxyprovider included only has a matching signature for the 2013 nexus 7.

Does anyone else have the issue where if you run it in fullscreen, as well as quick controls which ditches the top bar, that the area where the status bar is supposed to be is graphically glitched? The loading bar draws all wiggly and stays on the screen, as well as 3/4 of the tab/menu bar is still showing but is not clickable.

I'm running a CM kang so i'm wondering if thats the issue.

It worked perfectly now, sorry about that!

I was trying it last night, I guess I accidentally overlooked the steps.

Anyways, thanks for your help.

Is there a version where it can work with Nexus 4 4.3?

Will this work on HTC One GPe? JB4.3

It should. Give it a try. Make sure you follow the instructions especially the reboot part. It really is necessary. Also don't try to use the included browserproxyprovider. It won't install unless you are using a nexus 7 2013. Instead install the one located in system/apps. Just click it and install like a normal apk file. It will say app not installed. Then reboot and complete the rest of the steps.

Just tried on HTC ONE GPe, not working unfortunately.

Browser proxy provider installs fine (!) -of course the one in the system -, after reboot browser does not install.

Do you think can remove the tab limit?

Or at least add an option to modify/remove the setting? eg, max tabs is x

Usually returns these errors "Tab limit reached. Cant open a new tab until you close one" and "No tabs are available"

Never had that happen. Do you know what the limit is?

I'm not exactly sure AOSP browser's tab limit is.

I just opened a bunch of blank tabs just now and it appears to be 16/17 tab limit, somewhere around there.
I think the limit is determined by the amount of ram. I was able to open a lot more on my nexus 7 2013. Either way I never would have that many tabs open on my tablet.
