These are ace! The new Music app is sooo much better. It kinda feels like 3 was a beta with all the ideas but slow and laggy performance but this is the polished and finished article. Fantastic.
FWIW, I uninstalled Music 3, rebooted, then tried to install this but got the "application not installed" error so just dumped the apk in \system\app and set the permissions then rebooted again and it works fine (synced straight away etc)

The new Google+ doesn't seem all that different so far but I've not really used it much yet. Hopefully the auto-upload will be a little less flaky than the previous version.
Google+ installed fine with a straight uninstall of the old and install of the new.

Sound enhancements?

Pretty neat GUI on the new Google Music app. But no sound enhancements included which is quite a drawback for me, being a regular HTC Music app user. But I really like the GUI which IMO is way better than the HTC counterpart.

For those who cant install it properly:

- Uninstall music 3 (that one updated from the market).
- With root explorer, delete (or move to another path) the music app (now the old one that came with the phone) from /system/app, if you are stock, dont touch the .odex file...
- now you are able to install the new music app, BUT you will get FC, so, move the app from /data/app to /system/app, fix permissions and you are ready to go...

That is the only way that worked for me...

Edit: btw, this thing is fast, way better than Music 3... now i am even more excited about ics... damn google, why postpone...

Thanks for your instruction.

I installed Music 4.0.1 and i runs fine, however every time I reboot, the music app crashes and keeps crashing periodically until I install /system/app/MusicGoogle.apk again.

Any ideas why it's continually crashing on reboot?
