[APK] Moto Display from Moto X4

Notification dots are go for me, landscape mode is not (unless there is some arcane trick to it). There's a photo in the Z2 Play thread that shows it in action, but my Z refuses to co-operate even in the Incipio car dock.

Can you give a link to that post where is it shown working?

Apk from page 20 was successfully installed for me, but notification dots not working ( Moto Z 1650-03, retapac, Android 7.1.1)

Interesting, and also a newer version at 06.040 for Moto Display.

Notification dots and landscape mode do not appear to work on my Z.

Is this Moto display version 06.040 for moto z play? May be better for Z use 06.039?

Same man same. Although if it has that stupid 18:9 aspect ratio I will be very disappointed.

I'm holding out for the moment to see. Those are rumors nothing has been confirmed by Motorola yet.

While I can't go into specifics for ~reasons, I'll just say that you should definitely get the Z2 Force instead of holding out if you don't like the....rumours. Then again the longer you wait, the cheaper it'll get.

I'm really looking forward to the next gen. 6" 18:9 = 5.5" 16:9, just taller, and it's amazing how much more phone could (hypothetically speaking of course) fit into a Moto Mod-compatible footprint. Especially when the front-facing scanner has mysteriously disappeared and the extra screen real estate essentially replaces the bottom bezel with the nav buttons/what appears to be a software version of one-button nav.

That looks more like a bug than a feature to me. Even I have encountered landscape mode for my lockscreen at times which is obviously a bug in day to day usage. Anyway. Good for the users if its a feature.

Yeah I feel the same. Would be handy when docked, mounted sideways in a car, or using the SoundBoost etc. but not a critical feature otherwise. The notification dots are nice.

If it's a mod thing then it is obviously hard to replicate without the exact devices supported. Anyway. These apps seem to be working better than the old apps on the older moto Xs too

if YouTube is ever fixed to work properly then I'll be fine.

Moto Mods Manager was updated this morning on Google Play to include this feature. I got it on my Z Play in Canada.

Notification detail setting is not taken into account by Moto Display. For example, even if it's set to "hide sensitive content", Moto Display will display full SMS content ! ??

It works in mine, but... Can't unblock the screen. When I slide up the screen goes to black. Any solutions?
