Hello everyone!
As you can see from the title of the thread, this is for everybody to post and share cool apks, apps, games, launchers, widgets, or mods. Anything you think is cool or offers beneficial features/hard to find/does not exist in the playstore/ "not compatible with your device" like the playstore says on some apps and you were able to make it work, is welcome..

-Let's keep in mind to be careful on which apps we post, please! Remember the rules of xda...sharing of paid apps is prohibited...please DO NOT upload or share paid/hacked/modified apps so we don't get shut down or even kicked out of XDA. Let's keep it clean

-If you're posting something you think needs a creator's/dev's permission, please get their permission and also give them credit for it.

5: S5 weather widget:

all you need to do is download the zip file. Extract it. Using a root browser go to system/app and either remove or change the names of the similar files (change the names if you want to keep both widgets and would like to switch every now and then between the two. To do that, just add ".bak" after "apk". Now it's a useless file that android can't recognize). Move the two files you've downloaded to system/app then change permissions to rw-r-r. Reboot. Don't use the widget yet. It'll force close on you. Head to settings/application manager/all and find "weather". Clear cache and data. Now go ahead and place your widget on your home screen and enjoy.

Note 1 AccuWeather Widget and Daemon.
Simply just move the two apks to system/app. Change permissions and reboot.
You don't need to remove any current widget you're using, this will work normal and you'll have two weather widgets.

Simple Torch Flashlight no ads
This app [emoji115]is not going to ask you a million permission. It won't ask to see your emails and phone numbers and it won't need to look at your text messages. Just a torch as it is. Go ahead and give it a try. Thank the gentleman @hanswürstchen and donate if you can.

Here is the S5 weather widget to those who like it. Just download the zip and extract the two apks and place them into system/apps. Fix permissions to rw-r-r then reboot. Don't forget to disable the stock TW weather widget that you have or this one won't work. You can do that by just by adding "bak" to the very end of the file. Change this one (AccuweatherPhone2013.apk to
AccuweatherPhone2013.apk.bak)

and this one ( WeatherWidgetDaemon.apk to WeatherWidgetDaemon.apk.bak).

Adding to the list...my cherished never shared anywhere else before...completely rebuilt galaxy note 1 AccuWeather Widget...i removed all tw compatibility blocks to make it usable with any launcher and at the same time as the stock note 3 or s5 widgets

simply copy and paste apk and daemon into the system apps folder with root explorer or root browser, set permissions as all 3 read and owner write checked, then reboot. Enjoy my favorite widget of all time

i download the s5 weather app. and unzip put in system/app . rename and backup old weather app. set permission on the downloaded one . when i rebooted i deleted my old weather widget and re add to find out it looked the same. i though the s5 weather.app is a little cartoony? im on firenote v14. did i do anything wrong. also try to install thr apk. its a no go

Hey dude. No problem. Sorry didn't know you needed help. Just rename your old widget files by putting ".bak" after "apk" then proceed. That'd change the file type into something unrecognizable by the system. That way you have them both just in case you get bored of the S5 one. And all you'd have to do is rename (remove ".bak" from the old widget and add it to the S5 one and reboot and then your back to your old one)
Also, I didn't know that you can install them as regular apks. LOL
