They should atleast show up in the networks apn page in settings. If not have you tried a new similar card?

Only other suggestion would be maybe get market enabler and change the gsm.sim.operator.numberic to the correct number for your carrier. (MCC and MNC). When I do this to allow US only purchases on market I get T-mobiles APNs in my settings (not selected but selectable.

Ok i have been reading some more....could it be that even though the phone is unlocked that bell put on there own custom rom that would lock out the data and keep you from manually entering apn

I deleted the other 84 settings in the data base and installed an app called APN Manager. I used these and at one point i actually had an apn saved in the phone but still nothing i am not sure if the app was just masking it to make it look like an apn. Am i barking up the wrong tree here.

today i received a replacement atrix thinking it was the phone....I am still having he same issue. This makes to sense my xt701 moto and the atrix share all the same frequencies and everything, yet the stupid atrix will not get the MCC and MNC settings the xt701 does then i manually enter everthing else.

Hey everyone,

I am having the same problem with a Bell Atrix purchased by my work. We bought an unlock code for it and now I can make phone calls and send text messages but I can't get data working.

I tried editing the telephony database manually to add the apn but I actually noticed that when I tried to add the APN through settings it was already in the db...

I tried using market unlocker (I think that's what it's called) to add the MMC and MNC and after doing that I was able to see the APN that I added but data was still not working...

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Lineman Iam on Sasktel also. Same problems. I flashed my Atrix using RSD lite and I've got 3G data now. Go to thuis Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043834. Or you can wait for a Bell update which should fix this problem. Updates Android to 2.2.2
I tried this and now I am up and running with 3G data! I didn't really want to flash the phone since it is a work one... but oh well.

I will be waiting for some sort of Bell update that will fix this issue!

So now my settings are in the data base....then what, should the phone automatically pick this network. There are 85
Since no one mentioned this at the time, I thought I'd also put in that if you added a record, you should make sure that your record and only your record has "current" set to 1. This will make the phone use it by default. Delete the 1 from all other records.

Hello buddy,
i had the same problem and the solution that i found is to set a new apn and just set the following choices
1. Name
2. Apn
3. port
All other choices left blank.

I did that and it works perfect.
So did I and it worked fine. Thanks!

I just flashed my HTC Incredible S from Android 2.3 to 4.0 using HTC Canada's ROM Updater. Everything went fine except the APN data was wiped. Tried everything but couldn't get past the Save. Until I found this. Now it's working fine thanks to your tip. :good:
