[APP][1.2.2] Free/Adfree "Hi" belstatus/beltegoed app for Android

Hi all,

Warning: This app is only of interest to Dutch users with a "Hi" (Dutch mobile provider) subscription!

"Hi" has no Android app/widget to get your remaining call minutes on a regular automated basis, so I wrote my own "remaining minutes" widget.

Current version: 1.2.2 I hope this version will also work for people with 3 bundles. I have 2, so that was the problem.

As of 30-1 also on the Android market!

Updated it recently (this afternoon 31-1) to fix a FC because the mobile hi site is "down", it says "mode not set...", and my app crashed on that. Please update from market

Note: Please report all errors here as I have only one subscription and therefore I cannot test this app alone. Thanks in advance!

Looks great.
But i am a bit worried about the safety, i have to login with my account from the hi.nl site.
I now use "Beltegoed Hyacint" for this.

It does exactly the same thing as logging in at the http://m.hi.nl/belstatus website. This site is not encrypted, so if safety is an issue for you, you should reconsider using this application.

I tried to use the SSL encrypted https://www.hi.nl website to no avail. Lots of problems getting the certificates accepted in my program.

Did you check your settings? They are case sensitive, and the perhaps auto capitalize is on.

Are you able to log in on http://m.hi.nl/belstatus with your supplied mobile number/password? You should see "Mijn resterend beltegoed" and a progress bar below.

I checked and i set up verything correctly. And yes i can login on the link you given me.

The notification says "Kon belstatus niet ophalen"?
What kind of subscription do you have? Mine is "Hi 2010 Bel&Sms 25" which you can see when you login at https://www.hi.nl under "Mijn abonnement".

PS Kind of weird to speak English, while we are both Dutch.

Haha it is kind of weird yeah but we have to right forum regulation?! My subscription is "Hi 2010 Online 45". And yes it said "Kon belstatus niet ophalen".

OK, slightly different subscription, and perhaps the belstatus page contains different XHTML because of this. I have quite strict xpaths to get the image and boven/buiten bundel ammounts.

Could you please navigate to the belstatus page (with the belstatus image) and attach the XHTML of the page to your post or PM me?
As far as I can see there is no personal data in it (except buiten/boven bundel amount).

Well i basically have trouble logging in on that site so why not using the normal www.hi.nl? Which works fine for me!

Yes, m.hi.nl has been down a long time today. I've seen that too. It's up again now.

Logging in at www.hi.nl requires SSL and I have had a lot of trouble gettig that to work. Even when I configure my httpclient to use browser compatible CA certs it still is not willing to accept the Hi certs, which are signed by Verisign.

Besides that it would take a lot more CPU power to parse the non mobile pages, because they are more nested. But SSL would have been nice.

Yesterday m.hi.nl/belstatus was terrible. Was having the same issue. Try again today please as the site is up again.

Great! m.hi.nl/belstatus renders empty pages a lot instead of of your status. Nasty!

That's what makes this widget so handy, you always have your last status available and you also know when it was retrieved.
