Take a look at the smart app protector app.. it has some security features which can be implemented in this app to make it safer I think your app could be better than the smart app if you take a look at those features

There is a bug..

I use this application to lock Facebook application.
Then I open Facebook and it asks password.
I get back to home..then I find two apps running on recent apps..one is Facebook and the other is ZDlock..I delete close both..
Then I open Facebook again..There is no password asking...
I test this on my Nexus 5.
I locked the other apps and test again..The same thing happens..

This app isn't stopping me from uninstalling it. I in stalled it twice, locked some apps, went to the apps tray, held down ZDlock until the uninstall option was available and swiped up, got the question of whether i wanted it uninstalled and viola, it was gone. Twice.

Google play link doesn't work because you used some kind of ads redirect annoying potentially harmfull stuff.
Means it also prevent any users to visit the link from secured computer that block this kind of links.

Plus i don't see why the app require internet access and access to file hierarchy the same time. For what are they used for, exactly ?

BUG !!!

Hi, I don't know if this is a known one, seems like not, but here is a very simple workaround to the protection:

1. Open any locked app (let's call it App X) > pattern unlock screen appears (ZDlock)
2. Longpress home button (multitask) > the last two items are: App X, you are trying to open, and the ZDlock
3. Swipe away the ZDlock item
4. Select the App X > And it's unlocked!!! No password/pattern involved :crying:

Seems like a huge security hole to me. And I can get pass the lock like this every time, and it takes just 2 seconds.

I really like this app, and the direction is good, but this should be patched ASAP.

I'm running CM-10.2.1, on S4 mini I9195,
App settings:
Automatically Lock: Immediately
Installation Monitoring: Enabled
Prevent Uninstall: Enabled
Defensive Mode: Normal (tried Super - same bug)
Device Admin: Enabled

@ikaola I believe if you make the app as a Device Administrator it won't be stopped and Killing apps won't even be able to stop it in the background. Not sure if this will works but worth the try I guess.

Just a suggestion

I guess that, the ability to uninstall the app may be related to the need of "device administrator" rights. Hope such feature would be included in future updates.

I second the motion. This app is the best app for me. But i have a very large hole. If you back read you'll know what i mean. Actually the solution to this is very simple. Just add a notification bar. So the app will stay awake. They wont listen to me.

And now the app was gone. What happened? Their last email to me was.


"We are fixing the bug and we'll update it"

That was way back march 2014.

Personally, i have been waiting for the dev to improve this app just a little bit, so that i could replace the app that i am currently using as app protector. So, for now, i will have to stay with the previous app ... hope the dev comes back :good:

Lockdown Pro is useless. It has so many Bugs in it. Sometimes it opens the app which is locked.
