In fact when a phone is locked with a pin code, you can click a button for emergency calls. I think a second could be added for ICE Card, but I don't know if it is possible to do that with a simple app or if it needs to hack the screen lock application

I had a thought, I always keep my phone locked. If I collapsed on the street no one else on the street will know my password and i wouldn't want to give it out. If it can't be unlocked then the app cannot be accessed, is it feasable to have the details on the lock screen so the info can be read or will it cause a security risk if exploited will unlock the phone without the password?

i like the idea of the app, great job on it
Unfortunately there isn't such a functionality. Of course it is possible, but only by modifying the ROM itself. But I'm thinking about how to solve this problem, because some people just need to have a lockscreen with PIN or password lock. Personally I don't use such function, so it'll be done later. There is one idea buzzing in my mind. The app itself would provide custom lockscreen just like for example WidgetLocker does. But sadly this is needs a huge amount of work, so for a while I'll focus in adding functionalities like posted before by all of you, which will improve usefulness of ICE Card :)

Danish

Just finished danish translation, though i'm not guarantee that it is flawless yet.
Also i just finished making my XDA account, and this is my first post, lol i'm egocentric...

Anyways... Danish is done, and i'm looking forward to seeing it in your app, and to get feedback from any danish users ^^

Edit: lawl, saw that i did not know how to spell to finish, how embarrassing

First of all thank you all for helping me with translating ICE Card to many languages. Your response and overall translating process was very fast. The project has been moved to myGengo as it'll be easier to maintain simple updates on strings when there'll be added new functionality to the application itself. Below there is test version which includes all languages which I've received until now.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8487124/ICE_Card/ICE_Card_LANG_test1.apk

Languages included:
- Bulgarian
- Danish
- Dutch
- French
- German
- Hebrew
- Italian
- Portuguese (European)
- Slovak
- Slovenian
- Spanish
- Polish

Please, if you're a native speaker of one of the languages above, download this version and test it. If there are any issues just post them here or if you want Request access to ICE Card translation project on myGengo :)

Hi,

I've checked my translation to Portuguese and it looks ok so far.

Feedback is welcome from anyone who would like to test it too.

@SDeba
The big thing that is missing here is the lockscreen widget dude!

It would be nice to have an icon to pop up the information screen ;)

So I'm happy that the translation is ok :) About the widget and lockscreen - it is on my list, so it'll be done. Don't worry :)

I've found one mistake, that i fixed at myGengo.

But what i really wanted to say, is that i think it would be better to chance the android:text stuff in the input fields to android:hint, because it is un-userfriendly that you must delete the fields before you can write your own info.
Did i make myself clear? Otherwise say so, and i'll try to rephrase. I would also like respond to as wether or not you are finding it useful.

Changes to italian translation

After downloading the test app and seeing it in Italian, I've done some little changes to the translation on mygengo, to make it more immediate to understand. For example I've changed the "none" field and some others. I still have a question: what do you mean with "Contraindications"?

It's a medical term "In medicine, a contraindication is a condition or factor that serves as a reason to withhold a certain medical treatment."
You can read about it on wikipedia, there's even one in our language though i am not able to post any links ^^

Cheers,

A little announcement. I've created a list of all your greater ideas and they'll be incorporated into ICE Card. You should expect first update at the end of this week. I am counting on you, because I'll need some help to test some new functionalities. Fresh test versions will be posted here on XDA, so stay tuned. Any new ideas and suggestions are also welcome :)

I get a new idea for this app : can you add an alert message for signaling the user is going to access to medical informations. This can avoid a coworker or else see informations not destined to him.
This is for preserving some informational like HIV+ or else that may make the phone owner being discriminated.
I know this is far away to be perfect but this is one of the best compromise we can get.
