Hi guys. There'll be a little delay due to MWC 2012 in Barcelona. I'm running also an Android website and we have a lot of work during this event. The localized version should be available at the end of this week ;) Sorry for that ;)

Have tried a few ICE apps, love the layout of this one.

Couple of suggestions:

Already mentioend but some kind of lockscreen widget is a must.

Below each contact it may be useful to display the phone number for an instance where it is not possible to use the phone to dial.

Under More Info perhaps contact details for your GP in order to find your medical records quickly?

Oh I forgot to mention that I wouldn't like you all to change the app_name and their relatives. Everywhere it should be ICE Card - please don't translate it :)

Little layout issue

The app is great and also the italian translation is doing quite good i guess, however i've noticed a little layout issue whit a button in the change contact information form, it's the one that says "Conferma modifiche" (confirm changes). There's a screenshot i took the other day as an attachment.

Yep, this is a known bug and it'll be fixed in the next release.

And a little annoucement to all. I'm working now on feature-rich release so the next update should land at the beginning of the next month :)

I would like to inform you that ICE Card project is suspended due to important exams I'm having. It'll be renewed around 18th of May. I have noted all your suggestions and thank you for your contribution. See you with new version of ICE Card soon :)

Sooo ladies and gentleman!

I've finally finished my exams so I'm starting developing new version of ICE Card. This peroid of time brought me some great ideas. First of all I'll completely rebuild this app from scratch to make it much better ;) More news to come soon. Please don't expect any updates in a near future, as I'm planning to push only nice working stable version to the Google Play. Anyway please follow this topic. I'll be trying to discuss with you some ideas and I'll be publishing test versions soon :)

Awesome app.

Can I make a suggestion of what I belong eve should be added?

As an EMS Professional, the first bit of information we ask patients for is whether or not they have any allergies to medications, what medications they are actively taking and information about their past medical history.

It would be very beneficial in emergency situations if that information could be readily available. I see from the screen shots that you have the "allergies" section already, but I believe "Allergies to Medications?" or "Medication allergies?" would be more precise. If the patient is allergic to certain medications, we need to know that. Being allergic to kitty cats and dandelions is a bit irrelevant.

Crews and other medical personnel also need to know about the patients past medical history. If I arrive on scene to find an unconscious person that is diagnosed with COPD, last thing I want to do is slap them on a high flow rate of oxygen. In that situation, I would end up intubate a patient when it could of been avoided. So past medical history is very viable.

The next thing we want to know is of the patient is on any sort of medications. You would be very surprised at the amount of people who have no clue what their medical condition is or what they have been diagnosed with, but they know what medications they are prescribed... You can learn a lot about a persons medical conditions just by looking at their medication list.

Great looking app!! I just thought I would share what sort of information is found to be "most valuable" in an emergency situation. Your patient may not always be awake or able to speak, but it's great to find information like this in a timely manner and readily available.

Do you need any amendments to the translations? Because of the new versions, I mean.

There'll be completely reworked strings, so amendments unfortunately won't be enough. When I'll release first test version, then I'll give you all strings to translate. Anyway thank you in advance ;)

Most of your propositions are already on my ToDo list, but it is great to hear an opinion from EMS professional. It shows me what information you need most about a person in such situation. If you'll have any other thoughts, you're welcome to share them with me :) Thank you for your help :)

PS (to all) - first test releases should be available at the beginning of July :)

I had an idea of one usefull feature : do you think the app could change displayed language according to the country where I am. I hope the country identification could be done with the GSM network code.
It may be a good idea to add a "call emergency " button that uses the correct number according to the country where I am.

There'll be an "Emergency mode" in the new version. When an user will turn this mode on, it'll try to help as much as it can with providing emergency numbers and useful data such as an address. So I'll try to add a location based emergency number choosing function, just as you suggested - in other words - added to my ToDo list :) Thanks :)
