Blade please send some logs!

Just send two log's.
With cleaned RCB install and the minimal adjustments. Erased all the other numbers, filters and stuff.

One log is with Call Logging globally active in the profile, but individually, inside the profile, the option on Unknown numbers is to "don't notify" but RCB does notify.

The other log is the contrary.
The Call Logging option is globally deactivated but inside the profile is individually active the option to log the call of unknown numbers.
Just called with unknown number but RCB does not show it anywhere.

Hope this helps

Thanks.

Right now i'm, again, on Call Master (RCB is disabled).
The SMS's are better blocked (and the control on the notification's is better) with Call Master
But that white theme kill's me.
Don't you consider the hypotheses of adding a darker theme (optional) on Call Master ?

no I think you are not understanding....

the app repeatedly uses the 3g signal and because of the bug, it renders the 3g signal not functional.

we are very interested in a version of this app that does not mess with and turn our phones 3g signal off.

Phaze ive had you in my ignore list for ages but thought id check on your inane jabbering...

Yep, still an idiot. Back in the ignore list you go. Goodbye.

We will probably make a darker theme, but not right now. It will be once sales start.

Blade, unless you have a amoled display, the color of the pixels will make no difference to power consumption... look:

I have the Samsung Galaxy 2, with SuperAmoled (the display is the only reason i'm into Samsung right now).

When i ask for a theme with less white it's just a slight change from white to grey, or light grey, for example. The blue parts are alright.
I almost get sun burn reading the help :)

But let me tell you that i've just tested the lastest Call Master with that fantastic widget and congratulations to the person who idealized that.
All the information one can want or need is there.
Everytime i've asked a widget to RCB, and now it's on Call Master, i've made it without un idea of any kind about the widget i wanted but now i've seen the light :)

To me that's the mother of all widgets, one to be reference on widget mather of compacted information on one place.

The person should get a raise :)

Call Master get's better everyday, congratulations to your team.

Thanks mate! CM is my baby, so I will buy myself a hundred grams of Glen Moray, straight up, no ice.

All the other guys don't like my theme either... but then none of them has a galaxy phone. You know my pet name for the sgs ii is "lopata" - Russian for spade or chunk, take your pick.

Back to the booze :)

Then you really deserve it.
It's a real peace of software.

"Chunk" really fits like a glove :)

Nothing to comment on this post (http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=19544723&postcount=52)?

Do not take it personally, I think a bit more info could clear things up a lot.
Both RCB and CM dont allow LBE Privacy Guard to start the service, and both cause the camera app to dont work (blackout and crash) if running together with LBE.... among other issues.
Things work perfectly if only running RCB/CM, or LBE. so it is hard to believe this is accidental... how the hell the camera would be involved in a firewall conflict?

That is something you will have to take up with the guy who makes LBE. And clearly there is nothing i could say to you that would change your mind (at least nothing you would understand).

Suffice to say that RCB has nothing to do with the camera, so you should be looking at that permissions mess that LBE creates. Whats more, RCB requires access to the entire telephony service to work, which internet is part of.

This application has an average 4.6 rating on the market and over 80,000 daily users. And most of the 1-star rating are from people without root. None of them leave paranoid market reviews claiming the app is a virus...

Dont like it, dont buy it (not that you have ever wanted to). I will not be changing my application to work with LBE because android was never designed for the kind of security management it offers.

Oh and by the way. If you ask ANY developer on this site, NONE will be using LBE.

Their business model is to exploit your paranoia. My business model is to ignore the fringe weirdos and stick with normal people...

Hopefully, thats enough comment for you.

Frankly, your reply only restates that you do not want users to have any control over their privacy.

The question you do not have clearly answered is:

Do you purposely develop RCB/CM to be incompatible with LBE Privacy Guard v1/v2? In case you do not, could you please explain what causes this incompatibility that disallows LBE service to start and crashes other apps?

I do not claim to know your business, but I think maybe you should consider this.
At the time I rooted my phone I was an Android beginner just barely able to follow some easy steps posted on this site. Most rooted android users fall into this category. My motivation for rooting my phone was to gain control over apps (mainly permissions). The first app I ever installed on an Android device was LBE, but even after few months being rooted, the only root apps not-permissions-related I use are OpenVPN (again privacy, and it needs LBE because Ovpn settings likes to send your imei out), nandroid backups and RCB/CM.
So it looks to me that a big part of your market consist of guys who care about their privacy. Do you really think they will want to install your app after they realize it is purposely incompatible with a firewall?
I have read some Android market reviews, and to be honest some are terrible, if I had read them before I would have not even tried this app, and never would have know why RBC is great.

Don't know if already discussed..
I've just discovered a "strange" behavior.
With RCB started, at the first call in coming a pop up appeared telling RCB couldn't work not being able to verify my purchase status (or something like that).
I assumed this check was made after the first download, of course, and after every upgrade download that a user performs.
What I have just faced seems indeed to reflect something like a period purchase status check.
Now, normally I don't have a data plan active, and I use to connect (and download) with WiFi only; been away for the last days I've encountered this.

Assume I go on holiday with someone , and assume I use RCB to have a placeful vacation :) if I can not connect for a while RCB could stop working?

Whenever you update, change the market login account or perform a clean install, the license check must be performed.

Connect to a network and press "check license" in settings.

Thank you for the sudden reply.
This is what I expected to happen (and tried to explain above).
I would say none of the option you mentioned happened since my last (wifi) connection (nor RCB update/download, or any account change, or install).
This is why it seemed so strange to me.
I will pay attention and check.

    Piss off.

And everyone else: if you have a problem, replicate it and send logs through the app. larryatapproved has the right idea.

I did what larryatapproved did twice in the last 2 weeks and still haven't gotten back to. To be perfectly honest if your app was a dollar I could understand (a little) your attitude. But it wasn't a dollar it was around 6 (I believe). With a higher priced app like yours I would have expected a better sense of customer service. I have been polite and inquisitive in all of my inquiries to you. And in return have not been given the same level of respect.

I have downloaded free apps that resulted in outstanding customer service. Sendit being one of them from xda. If I were to make an app that costs 6 bucks. And had people working for me (like you say you do). I would bend over backwards to help a customer in a very calm and professional manor. Constructive criticism from buyers is not a bad thing , but rather a form of respect. They want to see the app work. Which is why they are asking you questions. If you weren't willing to accept that, you should have do one of two things. Either.
    A) make your app free. The you wouldn't feel obligated to respond.
    B) write in your app description that every problem is user error. Cause nothing could possibly be wrong on your end.

Hell, Google makes apps. They get negative reviews. Do you see them snapping at people? And there's are free. Not everything is formulated to work on the vast majority of android phones. But take pride in your work and look into the problems. They're are two sides to a developer. Obviously one is the developmental side. And the other is people skills. Don't you realize that we are your testers? You have 3 s3's you said right? We're the ones with HTC, Motorola, LG, Samsung, and all the sub variants of them.

A little nicer approach instead of "piss off" would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [APP 2.1+] Root Call Blocker - the fastest call blocker on Android

    Here is what happened..

    1. Read thread title and OP
    2. Liked the app, downloaded free version
    3. While app is being installed, read last few pages of the thread
    4. Un-installed app without running it even once

What a pathetic response from the developer, been looking around for a call blocking app but certainly won't be using this one with attitudes like that

Hello random troll guy in my ignore list. We have 2 s3 handsets running the latest available european stock jb and everything works fine.

I'm not the only JB user experiencing signal loss (if you actually read the Play Store reviews, which you obviously don't). Most of the complaints seem to be coming from Motorola Droid Razr users (Maxx and M). Whenever you decide to stop ignoring Motorola users, let us know. An S3 is not a Motorola phone... in case you were confused.

I'm adding Google Play review screenshots below that support my claims of loss of radio signal when running Root Call Blocker due to the rude nature of the developer claiming somehow that by inquiring about a possible fix for my faulty app I am "trolling". I'm simply hoping for a fix. Again, great app when it's working, and absolutely terrible customer service. These are just the first few pages of reviews which support my claims that many users are experiencing the same issue. Loss of radio signal.

The problem is real. If you don't care to fix your app, just say you don't care. If you do care, stop playing make believe.
