That's where I originally saw a download for 1.19
Funnily enough this morning when I opened Mix it said there was an update for SMB to 1.19 so I have now got to 1.19 and through an official method!
Thanks for all the help

I compared the MD5 and SHA-1 values for the SMB version I downloaded from within Mix and the one from the apkmirrors link and they are identical.

These are the values of the APK file SMB 1.19...

Coincidental to your exploration of the SMB add-on: Having never previously required it, I had to install it on a non-rooted stock android 10 device. Version 1.18 was available at XDA labs and sufficed for the purpose, but then... upon your mention of the automatically applied SMB 1.19 update I ran MiXplorer's internal updater on several devices running LOS14/Nougat, LOS15/Oreo and LOS17/10 and the same version of MiXplorer (XDA 6.49.3). One device offered that SMB 1.19 update - the Android 10 stock (Moto) unrooted device - the only device which would not have previoulsy followed the internal updater path.

So... to your point, it is coming from the native MiX update, and it seems to be context sensitive.

General Note about the APK sites where the 1.9 SMB add-on can be found. Although the sites and material are not suspect there was inaccurate information at some of them. For instance one of them had the latest update listed as October 19, 2020. That may be when the file was uploaded but AFAIK that is not the release date of the add-on (which seems to be properly listed at another site). The point being that for something which has no official release notification other than within the built in-updater, most people should probably use the internal updater so that any relevance of context (Android version, root status, etc) is maintained.

Oh thanks.

But i want like ES storage analysis options

I don't know where to look for ?

I don't know what is ES storage analysis but I think we can view storage analysis by turning on More details and setting sort by Size (Bigger).

I believe you are looking for something like this—second screenshot is after tapping the "Apps" section; each tap 'drills down' deeper. This is from the venerable 'DiskUsage' app available on F-droid repo.

DiskUsage as suggested above is a great app, it's available on play store too.
SDMaid is another app and it has a Storage Analyzer feature that lets you sort by size.

Yea, there are many apps but I was looking for this feature in mix.
Seems we have to use extra app for this ?
I'm using this for now https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobile_infographics_tools.mydrive

As the previous poster said, Android 11 introduced a new storage policy named "Scoped Storage". I can write something more about that but you can better search Google for more info about scoped storage.
Hootan Parsa (The developer) has already added a flag in the app manifest file (android:requestLegacyExternalStorage).
This flag allows users running Android 10 to use the old storage policy in the while, giving the developers more time for testing and migrate to the new scoped storage...

Very bad new for every developer thought...

It seems that Google will allow in the fiture some trusted File Managers only to bypass this policy...we will see what happens...

Useful and I interesting article you can read too:
https://link.medium.com/vQGQrB1zzab

@HootanParsa hope you are well, you know I am a great fan of this filemanager. Hope to see you soon in thread:)

Hi, I am on A11 and somehow solid explorer is able to see all files in /data/data
Any idea how they would be able to do that? and will it be possible for @Hootan Parsa to implement their approach?

The show hidden globally option doesn't work for me for internal storage but works fine for the external storage.

Also in earlier version (6.64.3) of the app when I connect a flash drive with otg cable and clicked on the header I would see the storage info for the flash drive. It does not show storage info any more in latest version. Is it just me or foes any one else have this issue?

I don't understand what you think you are showing.

You are showing Internal storage. You have files whose names start with a period being displayed. You do not have "Show hidden globally" checked.

Since the many new updates, I've only been able to try downloads with Chrome, have washed up on Android, how can I feel that. Write rights for Mixplorer and Firefox are available. Do I have to update my twrp? Or what is it

Maybe the screenshots would help you understand what I mean.

I do not use Solid Explorer but it seems that both Mix and Solid are targeting Android 10 using the requestLegacyExternalStorage flag in manifest. That means they are using the same temporary approach suggested by Google before targeting android 11 with the new scoped storage policy. Most likely your device is rooted then you could try to grant the root access in mix again and see what happens, pheraphs the root permission was corrupted...But I could be wrong...

Good to know is: to migrate to the new scoped storage, devs must update their apps targeting android 11 and in case of a file manager or similar apps they must use the new MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission in manifest.
After that all the apps using this permission will be evaluated from Google before they can be published on Playstore.

For those impatient users who want soon updates, better reading Android Developers site here:
https://developer.android.com/training/data-storage/manage-all-files

At the end of this article is clearly stated that developers cannot update their apps targeting android 11 until the early 2021 due to the Covid-19. This is the reason why for now is all freezed...

I misunderstood your orientation: I always want hidden files shown, so I assumed you were complaining that "Show hidden globally" was *not* showing hidden files some times.

On my device, I have "Show hidden globally" checked and I see a leading-period file in internal storage. When I uncheck SHG, the file is not displayed. (I.e., I cannot reproduce your problem.)

There is an option "Show hidden recursively". I do not have it checked. Do you?

I have not found a "show hidden in just this tab" option. If there is one, maybe you have it asserted.

I have just updated to android 11 which is causing me problems with viper4android, I was going to make a backup of my dcc, presets etc before uninstalling and reinstalling but mixplorer is failing to copy the files over, I am getting errors, open failed: EACCES (Permission denied) the location I am trying to copy from is internal/android/data in the mixplorer log there are also some errors with busybox, mix has permissions to access storage, have attached a log, any help gratefully received as I don't understand what the problem is

For some reason the xda app is hanging when I try to attach the log so here is a Google drive link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fN-r0iMinB7ruGctAY06438cA1ReOCZU/view?usp=drivesdk S

Unfortunately I'm also having this issue since switching from a Mi A2 Lite with Android 10 to a Pixel 5 with Android 11. In my case I want to archive the whole internal storage for backup reasons but MiXplorer aborts when processing the Android directory. Apparently this is caused by file permissions although MiXplorer has root access. In a terminal I can tar the Android folder as root without any problem. Seems like MiXplorer is not using its root access properly. Is there any way to enforce it?

Not sure, I am assuming it's a permission issue in android 11 which will require an update to the app, I managed to copy what I needed onto a computer which accessed the required folders without issue, interested to know exactly what the issue is, is this connected to the 'scoped storage' malarky that has been introduced with the latest and greatest version of android?

Hold on...So for those of us who purchased the Silver are actually getting older versions than what is being posted here for free? I purchased the Silver so that I wouldn't have to worry about manually upgrading (as well as handling the plugins), but it sounds like you are saying if I am just relying on Play I am working with old versions?

Sorry if I misunderstood, but can you clarify the situation and let those of us who purchased Silver know what the best/proper way to keep updated is.?

    Through Playstore

As dev described there were some issues with the packages at Playstore recently but typically the latest XDA version and the latest Silver versions are the same or very close (differences related to Silver's included add-ons excepted). Occasionally a feature might appear in one before the other but considering the fast pace of development which sometimes occurs it's not such a bad thing for versions to linger on XDA before going to play store. Also, considering that you can get everything included in Silver for free at XDA and keep it updated fairly easily; payment for silver is considered by many to be a form of support for development. In any event, don't, worry you are not losing out, and for what you seem to want - a tidy automatic update path which includes add-ons - just keep using Silver.

In fact latest Silver version is 6.54.2 while latest XDA version is 6.54.1.

You probably meant to, subtly, but some of what you are saying implies the XDA version is a BETA channel. So play store gets the stable version; often. Its all about packaging the message ;)

I have updated the XDA version of MiXplorer (The Standard). If there is a new problem, please let me know. Thank you.

I see Google Play has replied to one of my old messages and apologized for delay response. Only 4 months delay! :) I'm sure there are great and professional people working in Play team and they're doing their best but I really can't bother myself to contact them anymore.
I won't push the publish button for the Silver version which is finally reviewed after 2 days but shared with pirate websites some hours before that. I'm uploading another build as an app bundle and as you should know no one has access except Play team as always. I hope they will do their best.
    19
I finally experienced Android 11 and its scoped storage on a real phone. What a crap! The Android media scanner wasn't enough!
I published multiple experimental builds with target SDK 30 and 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' permission before but I found some issues on emulator which are not reproducible on my device and I didn't know there is a huge difference on performance. So I will change the target to 30 with 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' for the stable and beta versions.
For the Silver version, I improved the performance as much as possible but as you should know Google Play doesn't allow 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' permission, so there is nothing I can do about it for now.
    17
Oh please let's stop with all this indignation about what is a relatively small issue which occurred only recently and about which we've not yet heard from the developer since it was reported just a few days ago. Statements about how the app cannot be used if it's this way or how could it possibly have been left in this absolutely world ending horrible condition don't help. It's been reported and other people who don't even care tested and gave a +1. Now would be an appropriate time to wait for a developer response, and to do so knowing that they are sometimes away from the thread for a while.
    14
As many of you already know, some days ago I updated the Silver version which has many problems because Google is insisting we should build App Bundle instead of APK. So I finally did it but I didn't know it's going to modify the manifest for so called 'optimization' and change the default value of 'extractNativeLibs' to false which makes so much problems in this app. After some minutes I found out what's the problem and as Google document says I should add a Gradle option 'android.bundle.enableUncompressedNativeLibs=false' to prevent it. I'm still not 100% sure that it's going to work but I did and uploaded the new build to Play console. It was an important update because many lovely users got angry and started giving 1 star or contacting me and reporting issues one after another. I'm mentally under pressure since then and waiting for Play to review the app. But 1 day passed and not only they didn't, instead they searched around to find an irrelevant issue to reject the update. They sent me a message and told me there is an issue with some words inside the description of the app. The description which they have reviewed some hundred times during years. Check the screenshot. They had problem with this "area":
'Html viewer which supports MHT, Markdown, AXml, CHM, MAFF and...'.
So I rather to remove them and saved it for the review but another day passed and nothing except that my app is already on many websites. I built an app bundle and uploaded only to Play console but it's now all over the web as an APK with my signature and lovely users are sending feedback about it while it's not even reviewed by Google Play! I'm mentally so tired. I really can't contact Play developer support team anymore. Because I know they're busy and can't help or even answer me. The last time I contacted was the last year. There was an error in Play Console saying there is an issue with your developer account and I sent many messages to both Play console and Google Pay asking why can't users pay for the app and what is the error about but they never answered me. But they answered to every single buyers and told them that developer is responsible for that. No selling for 2 months. I just kept reading documents and sending messages and personal documents to their bots I guess until the Pay button got activated.
If they review the app, I'm not sure if I should publish the app this time. I need an official and professional answer to this question that how is it possible that the app which I've uploaded only to Play console is all over the web and signed with my signature? Is there any other section in Google company I can contact about this issue?
    13
There is a problem with installing the APK bundle I've uploaded in Play store. It doesn't extract the libraries and MiX can't execute shell commands without root. There are many problems with recent Silver versions. I will fix it soon.
