These are issues that never seemed to have been resolved. Here's the answer: the issue has to do with the Download Manager being blocked by AFWall+ only if the Xposed module is enabled. As such, it can be resolved without any side effects by disabling the AFWall+ Xposed module in your Xposed Manager. Source: https://github.com/ukanth/afwall/issues/903
This has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find a solution for it. On basically every 6.xx.x version I've tried, when I press the Download button in About -> Update, I'm getting a toast stating UPDATE java.lang.Integer cannot be cast to java.lang.Long. After several minutes, an Android notification shows, stating <Untitled> Download unsuccessful..
I tried downloading the APK's in the JSON file at mixplorer.com/latest manually (for example https://mixplorer.com/latest/MiXSMB_B2006281.apk), but they always redirect back to the JSON file.
Currently running 6.49.3 now via attached APK in first post
LineageOS 16 (Android 9)
After un/reinstall of AFWall+ update/download worked. Must've been a residual setting in AFWall causing problems.

Something similar just happened on one of my devices while attempting to manually update MiXplorer XDA stable 6.33.7 to 6.33.8 through native update feature. Nothing would happen when update was tapped until Afwall+ was disabled briefly. After re-enabling Afwall then MiXplorer could still detect the update. This is odd because MiXplorer has a full pass through both firewall and VPN as to do the requisite OS services and I did not find anything in the AFwall+ logs. Also, on different device with same combination of firewall and VPN MiXplorer XDA stable 6.2 8.3 was able to find the update. This bears a similarity to a recently discussed Afwall issue, but whatever it is seems to affect only this MiX update.
Also, @HootanParsa, file send via native OS BT seems to be fixed; Tested good on MiX XDA stable and Playstore Silver 6.33.8.
