Good question. This may have been possible at one time (if I'm remembering correctly) but there seems to be no way to to disable swipe to switch tabs at the moment.

how to disable asking to recycle or perm delete confirmation window.

uhg, is me or is mix going garbage?

Well, if you are going to open yourself up like that, it's 100% you.

But seriously, for a moment I'll pretend that was a reasonably expressed concern: I've seen no regression in functionality or performance of MiX even as I'm using it on more devices spanning a wider range of Android versions and ROM variants. If you were just being hard on yourself in good fun, well then touche, but few would see that as a joke. There is a description of the undo feature in the FAQ and there was significant discussion, even a debate, about how it should be configured - all of which would be recommended reading in your case.

Hi HP, in "Stable" RC6, internal storage icon is fixed but now the external SD card is represented by a favorite icon. Minor glitch.

Although not MiX specific, your language implies you have this same issue with other apps outside of MiX. I know in a lot of ROMs I have used, they have adjustments for touch sensitivity or such. Maybe checking your device settings or on a device specific thread or a targetted web search, you may find a method to reduce its propensity to be so slide sensitive.

What do you think of this? Yes, No, Maybe?
Thanks
When you or other users try to share your suggestions or ideas, forget the other apps like they don't exist. If there are information YOU really need and MiX doesn't provide or it's not convenient to use, please explain your thoughts. I will think and work on them.
If you want a feature named 'Analyze' with some animation to tell you which files are small or big, I don't think it's necessary. You can open the 'All files' bookmark and sort the list by size. MiX also has a powerful search engine. If there is any problem with that feature, please let me know.

Hootan, please I do not think we are speaking about animations or whatsoever. You are right that the comparison with others filemanagers could be unpleasant especially for the developer itself but sometimes is the fastest way to give an example about what you are speaking or suggesting...
For the most of us there is no doubt that we are totally supporting Mix development and the developer itself and the prove is that we are always here since years for giving feedback and reporting issues because Mix is the only filemanager we are currently using daily.

To my point of view about Anayze feature mix already have a basic informations (How many folders and files contains a directory) in the property dialog, but having information about the folders that are bigger and contains more files inside, within that directory, is something that could be useful for various purposes (as cleaning tool info too for example) and using all files bookmark and sorting it by size does not give that information...
Also having a chance to see how the whole storage or directory is partitioned/mapped by file types or genres (audio, video, archives, etc...) in a graphic way is something I find useful...

These are my thoughts and my personal opinion just to share it with you as always.
Thank you.

The new builds are uploaded as stable. If there is a new problem, please let me know. Thank you.

I just installed the latest stable build, and many of my Tasker icons for Tasker tasks and profiles (which I selected previously from storage using Mixplorer) are not showing (due to Mixplorer content provider change).

I did not realize that selecting these icons from storage using Mixplorer would have the content provider data embedded into my Tasker tasks' xmls. Is this the same case with other browsers ?

Reselecting the icons with the new Mixplorer will fix it, but I have too many that it will take the whole day so I'll just write a task to update them automatically. Funny thing is none of my launcher shortcuts' icons are affected, that would have been easier to reselect.

I posted this question earlier in the FAQ Thread, but IronTechmonkey requested to post it in this Thread because 'I got an actual issue'.

When I open MiXplorer on my Chromebook, everytime I get the message 'Attention: Please select SD card: /storage/MyFiles to gain permission'
My Chromebook has no SD card only an internal memory. How do I change the path? I can change the name but not the path. When I delete the bookmark. A new bookmark is created and get the above message again.

In the installation manual it says:
'- Navigate to external SD and create a new folder. There should a prompt "Attention Please select Ext SD... to gain permissions". Note: In some situations you may not have to create a folder to invoke this prompt.'
But like I said, I can't change the path of /storage/MyFiles

Enclosed you will find the log file. Hope this helps to solve the problem.

IronTechmonkey mentioned the strange Volume names in the LOG file. Maybe this is because the Android is baked into the ChromeOS system?

I personally use a seperate app with its own features and UI that has specifically been built from the ground up to Analyse space useage. It wiould take a number of years for MiX to catch up with the feature set of this specific app, and by that time, it would of moved on even further. There are many on the playstore, and my current one is very graphical and interactive. Yes I understand some prefer the single app to do everything, but I personally prefer a small number of apps that do very specific things, and analysis of space used is something I prefer to see and only use rarely, from another targetted app. Before MiX I was using another file manager that had the feature built into it, and I still preferred and used the specific app for space analysis, and it did not really fit in with the UI of a file manager. i.e. thne space analysis was unused bloat for me. on that other FM. Just my personal preference and experience.

I appreciate your different point of view and your polite reply. Considering different opinions and compare them with your own always helps. Yes, I choose to mainly use Mix among others filemanagers because of its peculiarities as a full featured file manager. I like to have a single tool for all my basic needs, but your choice to use more tools is right also for you and your needs.
I think HootanParsa will made the best decision about adding some basic analyzer features. Every additional features was always made just because it was worth and not by user preferences. If he decided to not implement it it means that it is actually not worth or he will have their own personal reasons for that...

Thank you. Try the latest build in the second post, if it's possible on Chrome OS and tell me the result.

Yes, this is really great and useful. I always ask to me to not be to much demanding but then I know you cannot misunderstand my requests as annoying claims...and choosing between suggesting something or avoid to made it I always decide for the first option. 🙂:)

That is worth!

Thank you so much for the fast response and improvements!! :):)

Hello dear forum community and of course HootanParsa,
as a new member, I hope that I won't be bothering you in any way ...

@HootanParsa
Since I do not have a Google account and I do not intend to have one, I would like to ask whether there is an option to buy the Silver version outside of Google? Thank you in advance for an answer.

There is a leak in Play console and store services and people still have access to the apps that are not published. It is completely unacceptable. Users have contacted me about this and even insulted me for the late publish while it's accessible from pirate websites and this is Play team who is responsible for that. It's happening for a very long time and they haven't done anything about it. I have contacted them long before and they said they're not responsible. Probably Aliens are! :)
Thanks to @EuK_V for the investigation.

Is there anything we can do to help?
(Online petition? Paper letters accusing Google of colluding with pirates?)
One of my guesses was because of the pandemic there are some reviewers at home with pajama who have contract with Google to review the apps but they're not doing their job professionally. :)
They're not directly colluding with pirates ( Are they?! ). They're just ignoring messages and not accepting that there is a leak. Probably because they're just so busy working on their masterpieces like scoped storage and the media scanner! :D
There is a way that you can generate a link to download an unpublished build, if you can guess the build number.

    +1, I'm in.

At the risk of OT, but for a good cause.; Petitions can be helpful where there is something to be gained by strength in numbers, and letter writing campaigns can get attention where there is a receptive destination for the letters. That being said, Google is probably one of the toughest nuts to crack in those regards but...

... if there were some way to show the proof in a public way which does not infringe on HootanParsa's privacy and the security of MiX, which could be an attachment to petitions or letters... they might carry more weight. Also, finding other developers who've experienced similar issues and might join the cause could help. I've looked around but could not find other instances although they must exist.
    8
If someone could guess the number of one of their own apps (such as youtube), they would possibly be a little more concerned.
Not really, because they don't need to upload then wait to review their own app. Of course majority of the free and paid apps can be downloaded from those websites but the worse is that people can download a paid app for free before it gets published. Maybe that build is not even supposed to be published.
    7
I updated MiXplorer to the latest version (v6.54.5). At the Recent file tab, some mysterious square dots after each row appeared (at all view modes except Grid and Gallery). Is this a bug? Please remove them.
It's the Size bar. :) I'll remove it.

I have updated the XDA version of MiXplorer (The Standard). If there is a new problem, please let me know. Thank you.

I see Google Play has replied to one of my old messages and apologized for delay response. Only 4 months delay! :) I'm sure there are great and professional people working in Play team and they're doing their best but I really can't bother myself to contact them anymore.
I won't push the publish button for the Silver version which is finally reviewed after 2 days but shared with pirate websites some hours before that. I'm uploading another build as an app bundle and as you should know no one has access except Play team as always. I hope they will do their best.
    19
I finally experienced Android 11 and its scoped storage on a real phone. What a crap! The Android media scanner wasn't enough!
I published multiple experimental builds with target SDK 30 and 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' permission before but I found some issues on emulator which are not reproducible on my device and I didn't know there is a huge difference on performance. So I will change the target to 30 with 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' for the stable and beta versions.
For the Silver version, I improved the performance as much as possible but as you should know Google Play doesn't allow 'MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE' permission, so there is nothing I can do about it for now.
    17
Oh please let's stop with all this indignation about what is a relatively small issue which occurred only recently and about which we've not yet heard from the developer since it was reported just a few days ago. Statements about how the app cannot be used if it's this way or how could it possibly have been left in this absolutely world ending horrible condition don't help. It's been reported and other people who don't even care tested and gave a +1. Now would be an appropriate time to wait for a developer response, and to do so knowing that they are sometimes away from the thread for a while.
    14
As many of you already know, some days ago I updated the Silver version which has many problems because Google is insisting we should build App Bundle instead of APK. So I finally did it but I didn't know it's going to modify the manifest for so called 'optimization' and change the default value of 'extractNativeLibs' to false which makes so much problems in this app. After some minutes I found out what's the problem and as Google document says I should add a Gradle option 'android.bundle.enableUncompressedNativeLibs=false' to prevent it. I'm still not 100% sure that it's going to work but I did and uploaded the new build to Play console. It was an important update because many lovely users got angry and started giving 1 star or contacting me and reporting issues one after another. I'm mentally under pressure since then and waiting for Play to review the app. But 1 day passed and not only they didn't, instead they searched around to find an irrelevant issue to reject the update. They sent me a message and told me there is an issue with some words inside the description of the app. The description which they have reviewed some hundred times during years. Check the screenshot. They had problem with this "area":
'Html viewer which supports MHT, Markdown, AXml, CHM, MAFF and...'.
So I rather to remove them and saved it for the review but another day passed and nothing except that my app is already on many websites. I built an app bundle and uploaded only to Play console but it's now all over the web as an APK with my signature and lovely users are sending feedback about it while it's not even reviewed by Google Play! I'm mentally so tired. I really can't contact Play developer support team anymore. Because I know they're busy and can't help or even answer me. The last time I contacted was the last year. There was an error in Play Console saying there is an issue with your developer account and I sent many messages to both Play console and Google Pay asking why can't users pay for the app and what is the error about but they never answered me. But they answered to every single buyers and told them that developer is responsible for that. No selling for 2 months. I just kept reading documents and sending messages and personal documents to their bots I guess until the Pay button got activated.
If they review the app, I'm not sure if I should publish the app this time. I need an official and professional answer to this question that how is it possible that the app which I've uploaded only to Play console is all over the web and signed with my signature? Is there any other section in Google company I can contact about this issue?
    13
There is a problem with installing the APK bundle I've uploaded in Play store. It doesn't extract the libraries and MiX can't execute shell commands without root. There are many problems with recent Silver versions. I will fix it soon.
