I definitely have no doubt, I just posted because that's what windows defender is giving me and yeah it won't let me download the file.If you have doubt about a file the details about where it came from and the file name are significant in determining if it is a false positive in a security app. Even though it may seem obvious could you clarify where you got the file and what the file name is?
[EDIT] Tested on Window 10 Pro machine with 3rd party AV (which automatically disables Defender's live scanning) and with Defender periodic scans disabled = no warnings for any of the new versions in the OPs of this thread.
Not really sure why defender acted that way. All good, installed the old one and updated it from there.Simply exclude your download directory from being scanned - but I use Defender myself and have never had it react like that with a MiX download![]()
You still did not answer the question: from where were you downloading? XDA? Google? Igor-got-apps?I definitely have no doubt, I just posted because that's what windows defender is giving me and yeah it won't let me download the file.
I was downloading all the stuff that I need before copying to my phone and flashing a new rom. Anyway I just installed the old one and updated it from there.

Here, I clicked on the file on the first page. Why would I download the apk anywhere else if it's already here? You still did not answer the question: from where were you downloading? XDA? Google? Igor-got-apps?
Since there are other places where people get legitimate copies it's just best not left to assumptions that this thread or the MiX Google page was the source. Thanks for clarifying. That blows up my rather thin hypothesis that something about the source of the downloaded file rather than the file itself caused it to be flagged. Here, I clicked on the file on the first page. That's how it looks to me.
I have tried this v6.57.0_B21061020 and can't see the content of existing Encfs folder. Anyone else facing this issue?
I have read that discussion earlier (Renaming a folder with in existing Encfs was not showing the content) but this happened to me after updating to v6.57.0_B21061020 and no folder renamed inside the existing EncfsFWIW, There has been recent discussion about this. The posts can be found by searching this thread for Encfs AND folder.

Oohh.. Thanks for the tip
Thank you, I tested it out. Initially there were some connection issues, but after several reinstalls and clearing Mixplorer data I think now I am able to connect reliably over ftpes. Quite happy with the results

Nope, deeplinks are just a simpler way to toggle the servers, the same way you could do with tasker, via Android quick settings tile or via Mix - 3 dots - Servers. Good for using with kustom apps or whatever you want to perform the action faster.Thanks. That described another way to create the shortcut, and there may be many more. At this point I've got that stuff covered regarding documentation (thanks to your help) but the one thing I don't fully understand yet is the expectation. Is this something that someone would run on the same device as the server which is being controlled or is this something that someone can run on one device in order to control a server on another device that is on the same network? My impression is that it is supposed to on the same device but I just want to make sure. Thanks again, for advancing this feature and explaining it.
It's not just about the Trash bin.Now the word "Trash" is gone so what will Mac users do?
But seriously, even though I agree with the change in terminology the new label is so long as to undermine itself as a label.
@HootanParsa, here is a suggestion which might accommodate all user preferences while making the label shorter by renaming it to the following:
Recycle (also known as Undo or Trash).
- 'Remember Delete option' will remember the last selected option in dialog.@m0han Ninja-ed me but, maybe Undo is not quite all back. Not posting as implied criticism, I've been on a deep dive into the Rabbit Hole this Evening (or Morning or Afternoon) and just came up for air after a few hours so here we go.
6.59.0-BETA B23012410, Stock Moto A10 rooted magisk, testing with files on external SD. Settings > More settings, now includes all 3 options: Recycle bin, Undo, and Remember delete but, I’m not seeing how to use them properly or there are still issues with them. Details below;
- With only Recycle Bin enabled then recycled files are sent to the .recycle folder and can be restored manually but there is no apparent option in the menu. The deleted files in the .recycle folder retain their original names but without something like the menu that was used for the old undo function, a user would have to know the file name and search for it or search for all files in the .recycle folder to find the item to restore.
- With only Undo enabled then after copy or move (or delete) operations, there is a Menu > undo item but invoking it yields toast “no item”.
- With both Recycle Bin and Undo enabled, then the same as above: after copy or move or delete operations, there is a Menu > undo item but invoking it yields toast “no item”.
- The .recycle folder (when not deleted between tests) seems to contain the files that were deleted with Recycle Bin enabled, and also seems to contain the folders for the copy/moves (although those folders contain no identifiable files.
- With both Recycle Bin and Undo disabled, a file that is Deleted via Select > menu > tap delete > acknowledge permanent = is actually deleted and does not force the creation of the. recycle folder. That is good but…
- Now we get to the drum I may beat until the skin on my hand or the skin of the drum starts to crack. With both Recycle Bin and Undo disabled, Select > long press deletes still creates the .recycle folder and copies the file there. I don’t care what is done with the Recycle Bin because I don’t use it and that it sort the point. I dont use it but it still can happen. Even with all relevant options disabled it is all too easy for an intended delete operation to become a file copy operation into it another folder unbeknownst to the user and not with the scope of familiar locations where it might be discovered. Please give us a way to disable this.
Notes:
Remember delete option remained disabled throughout testing.
.recycle folder was deleted between major test segments,
BTW @HootanParsa, assuming that both Beta and XDA version might be using the .recycle folder, are there any concerns for people who use Recycle Bin in multiple version of MiX (XDA, Silver, Beta)? This is not of concern to me as I only Recycle Bin in the beta for testing (so there is nothing potentially placed there by the XDA version is at risk) but I was curious about this.
First update the Silver version. You need to gain permission for each app folder you need in /data directory.I'm experiencing difficulties to use the FTP server option. I can browse my phone's directories except some (eg. /Android/data) and I can't write on any directory.
Using Windows 10, Android 13 latest Pixel 5 update, ans Mixplorer 6.58.6-Silver
Here are the errors I'm getting :
200 TYPE set to: Binary.
227 PASV Passive mode (192,168,5,54,157,105)
530 STOR Anonymous user cannot write to any directory.
The only one I understand is th 530, but I don't know how to fix it ^^
Does anyone has a solution to share?
More annoying than people who can't read a few pages back in a thread, or maybe even search the thread which would lead you to your answer and/or the amazing MiXplorer thread by @IronTechmonkey that has loads of useful info. Just like what you were asking about. For the love of all that is holy, how the hell do you turn off the Recycle Bin?
Most annoying thing ever....
