Try this: Within MiX > menu > settings > add-ons > tap on of the other add-ons (takes you to website) > navigate to codecs add-on folder > download appropriate version.
Aah okay, the Google restriction I mentioned was in the context of local files. I don't know how it would work with remote files and think you've already got a better answer from someone else about that. Something you could do to test, if you've not already done so, is to see if any other file managers or methods of handing the media to a player do the same thing.
Dont think so because I can do a Webdav with other apps, try this and tell me if it works for you,turn off the wifi and use your phone data and try to create a Webdav server and tell me if it works for you, thanks

With Rcx I can create a Webdav with my mobile data and what address are we talking about? What Rcx does is that it creates a Webdav with 127.0.0.1:8181

Add-ons: MiXplorer Add-ons can be installed from within the app like this:
Settings > Addons > and click add button > follow links to browse and download appropriate add-ons.
When I saw your reply that I can find it on the first page, I thought there would be a direct link on the first page. I didn't know that you meant I need to click FAQ - read APKmirror is one of places to get an apk - go to APKmirror and search Mix Codecs.

Yeah, I though you would do some research, like read the FAQ. Which is in big fonts on the first page. SO, read the FAQ, grab them from apkmirror.com or install from play store. We are not here to spoon feed you direct links, this is a not our jobs.

That's a local IP address, please do your own test, get a folder in MiXplorer and try to serve it with Webdav without wifi in your phone.
You are able to access your webdav storage from another machine over mobile data? Then I would use that app, mixplorer doesn't do that. Most cell phones companies make that almost impossible to do. Link us the apk file or the playstore link to the RCX app.

My USB sticks aren't visible on MiXplorer on my phone and tablet for a while.
I've reinstalled the app, but that didn't solve my issue.
Even the latest version has still the issue.
I can only see my USB sticks on the default file managers.

I don't think that feature was made to access the storage in another device, the feature was made to be able to access for example a Google drive cloud storage to a installed app within the same device, here is the Rcx app link

Not nesting material critical to a particular function (especially when it is user data) within material critical to another function (which is app data) when those two functions operate independently and can be enabled and disabled independently and are treated differently by the OS may be important for reasons which were spoken to. In the highly variable and irregular android universe it may not be safe to put potentially important user Undo data into the .mixplorer folder (wherever the .mixplorer folder lives).
EG, If a user has to clear MiX app data or uninstall then reinstall MiX, the .recycle folder will persist (confirmed in latest beta) thereby preserving the ability to restore items, but if .recycle were in the app directory it might be deleted under such circumstances or be more complicated for the developer to manage.
Additionally, although I love folder cleanup, I don’t see how what you suggest could be done without one of the 3 thing happening: 1) jeopardize user data, 2) make management of recycle Bin and undo functions more difficult to implement, or 3) require that users have folder structures for both features (Recycle/undo and .mixplorer folder in root) when they only need one.
If I seem persnickety about this that is because, I am what I am, but also motivated by the fact that people may try to put the responsibility of lost data on the developer even when it is the result of user action or inaction in situations where the consequences of that action or inaction was not understood or was ignored.3Have been having a wee play with the undo function, seems to work as expected, can copy/move/rename files, selecting undo from the menu will restore the file,
How "permanent" is the undo option ? if I do a lot of operations will I end up with a massive list under undo ? how would I clear the undo history ? just delete the data? (have answered my own question, just delete the data in .recycle)
How could I do that from within the app UI ?
My only other comment would be could the .recycle folder be nested under the .explorer folder or if the user decides to untick data folder in root the recycle follows it into android/data?

As to Dotfolders, +1 to any size limit settings or size or time reminders that could be added to the recycle bin feature without bloating the app but...
although I understand the desire to limit the number of DOT folders in the root of internal and external storage, those folders allow us to work around some of Google's restrictions, and they serve different purposes, and they can be toggled on or off independently. It may not be wise to put the .recycle folder within another folder which serves a different purpose and could be disabled or deleted, or to put it in a location that non-rooted users cannot access. Some users may use the recycle bin but may never need the .mixplorer folder, and for other users it may be the other way around.
Another consideration is that the universe of android OS variability regarding file management is bigger and more variable (that is to say sloppy and inconsistent) than that of windows, ios, or Linux which do things to keep the inner workings of recycle and trash bins out of sight and protected. On android some of these workarounds with DOT folders maybe the only way to achieve some of these things, such as a recycle bin, in the messy Android universe.
In a way the purpose served by these additional folders is to do what you suggest, to create "a place for everything and everything in its place".
In any event, again +1 to any possible enhancements of the presentation possible undo actions, but for the moment, considering the significant changes recently made it might be a good idea for people to explore the functionality of the feature including all available options and buttons, and to confirm that the undo operations are actually successful. -

There was some privacy policy issues for the latest version of Android and I had to update the Silver version ASAP. I will be active on XDA soon and I will upload the new updates.12
- 'Remember Delete option' will remember the last selected option in dialog.
- Uncheck 'Recycle bin' to hide the 'Recycle bin' option in dialog. Then you can only long press on Delete button to send files to recycle bin and delete later.
- 'Undo' is a separate feature to also be able to undo some other operations. I added this option because I'm afraid the operations in the older devices will become slower. The saved file paths are encrypted.
The reason for enabling 'Recycle bin' by default is that some users sent me messages (some with F words) about losing their files, because they thought they will go to recycle bin like in the other operating systems.12
It's not just about the Trash bin.Now the word "Trash" is gone so what will Mac users do?
But seriously, even though I agree with the change in terminology the new label is so long as to undermine itself as a label.
@HootanParsa, here is a suggestion which might accommodate all user preferences while making the label shorter by renaming it to the following:
Recycle (also known as Undo or Trash).
If you enable Undo, you will be able to undo operations like Moving, Renaming, Sending to trash/recycle bin and...

Settings > More settings > undo. That setting has not moved in a long time.
It seems that in some cases we may have to disable Undo again after this new update, but that should be a one-time thing.
View > Options (thumbnail and preview settings are here)
There are several view settings which might be applicable (eg more details, and others) and there is also Settings > More settings > custom date time
...
...And they still are configurable. You just lost track. At some point the settings were separated into different groups including these three.
