see here: MiXplorer: Q&A and FAQ (User Manual)I just found out about this wonderful app because it was mentioned in Zeno's updates e-mail (Dracula Theme). I see there's a paid version we can get from Google's Play Store, and another one we can grab directly from this thread, may I kindly ask what's the difference between each other? Thank you very much in advance for your time and attention. :3
Thanks a lot!
This was discussed not long ago, I believe @IronTechmonkey had the answer. The reason is in the message from Microsoft if I remember correctly. But I will let someone else more knowledgeable of Microsoft security feathresHi all, I've been using MiX for years now and love it!
I've recently tried to add a OneDrive account, though, but never succeeded.
I have no problem with another OneDrive account, but with the other, I always get the message in the attached pic.
I tried with another file explorer (Cx) and it worked with no problem at all.
Any advice?
Thank you!

Many thanks, @IronTechmonkey !First, a few of points of clarification. The developer, HootanParsa; has been away from the thread but I (not a developer, just assembler of FAQ) have been active lately. Also, if I answered a past question about OneDrive, that may have been by accident, unless the issue was in the Windows OS where I do have experience. Also, I don't use cloud resources and so have no baseline for testing them in MiXplorer.
That all being said, upon reading your first post I did some research to determine which side of the connection the problem is on. Interestingly, it could be both. First, note that you've described different behavior for different accounts. If that is true then logically there is possibly something that can be configured differently about the accounts.
Some research of the error from your screenshot seems to reveal that there are indeed some OneDrive account settings which might allow or prevent access from particular devices. It sounds similar to when Google ask you if you are connecting from a new device but I can't be sure because I don't use OneDrive. Some of the notes seems to indicate user configurable parameters and other notes seem to indicate parameters that could only be changed by administrators. Additionally, within my limited understanding of the topic, it seems that there may be situations where a developer could do something in an app as well but I don't you know for sure whether or not that is the case in your situation.
In addition to searching this thread for OneDrive and waiting to see what other users of OneDrive have to say, I would suggest doing some research into the error messages and perhaps even contacting OneDrive support. Also, there are probably other people here who could speak better to the expectations of OneDrive than I can. Lastly, or perhaps firstly, log it in MiX.
[EDIT] I would have provided links to the resources I read but I was researching casually a few days ago and did not keep a record of the links, but they should be easy to find by searching for the error message from the screenshot.
Many thanks, @IronTechmonkey !
What I do not get us that it works flawlessly with Cx explorer...
Thanks again, @IronTechmonkey.
I just tried with Solid explorer and again had no problem at all.
Nope, I mentioned Cx, not Solid.I recall you mentioning that in your original post but at this point that does not demonstrate or help solve the problem in MiX... except to indicate that the problem may be worth solving by researcihg and logging.
That's beside the point. The key point is that it works elsewhere at all which is an indication that it's worth researching and logging and checking previous reports in order to get it working in MiXplorer.
Thanks @Thebear j koss , but the discussion link won't open.I think I was referring to This discussion from a couple of weeks ago which seemed to be similar with authorization tokens expiring and whatnot... @IronTechmonkey @Quiyaro
Around HereThanks @Thebear j koss , but the discussion link won't open.
Could you double-check it, please?
Thanks @Thebear j koss .
I don't see how security can be a concern. He currently has random machines using the username which is the adminstrator of the system running the server. A username with no password.
When you set up a server, do you have to tell the server which usernames are allowed to be used from a remote client? So a new username is not automatically usable?
Even with that, and the extra awkwardness of him using a Live USB without persistence, he said he runs a script to start the server. Shirley the configuration file you remember is read when the server is started, not when the host boots. It can't take more than three years to learn enough "sed" to make the script modify the configuration file before launching the server.
Should I send him a mail and ask him, why the last update is +7 months ago? This would be cringe.
There was a beta posted in November that you may want to check out if you haven't already, none of us for sure know if development is at an end, what we do know is that Hootan the developer can be away from xda for long periods of time, and as I said before the app in its current state is well worth the price.I try this file explorer and like it very much. I always wanna support the dev's and buy the app or send few bucks. The problem here it looks like the project was dead.
When new Android version is released like Android 15 but over a half year no updates it feels wrong to support it.
On Google TV I only find a bug (scan lan network storage crash), rest works fine, on tablet and on smartphone.
Come on buddy, there is barely a day goes by without this being asked, search the thread or the FAQ for ways to access those hard to reach places, if none of the suggestions work, post logsHow can i access "Android" folder on internal, and delete files or folders? Im on android 14? It was possible on android 13 using Mixplorer earlier..
The project is far from dead. HootanParsa regularly takes extended breaks from XDA, months at a time sometimes, but is brilliant with catching up with feature requests/bugs/etc. when they return. For the extent at which most users will use MiXplorer, everything still works great. Obviously there may be some niche issues and the odd request here and there but everything works more than fine, for the most partLooks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
Ok guys, thanks. I'm feeling lazy to search and read rn
Help me be my search engine one more time, any other recommended root file manager for a14?
Hello and good morning, @ledagiwMy guy, my savior. Thanks

Xda search is junk, can't search if not login (i browse on incognito), timeline is messed up
Also i didn't mean to offend anyone, since the burger isn't available
It's irrelevant why you don't want to follow the rules but if you don't it will eventually lead to consequences to your account. I'm convinced this is something you want to avoid.1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
Your post is no. #43,838. That's a strong indicator for the passion and long standing development and support from the developer - despite some breaks in between. You'll have difficulties to find another app having a longer history than MiXplorer. And of course, I cannot speak for the developer, but I'm quite sure, there will be updates in the future. So there are good reasons to support the developer now and in the future.Looks like the project is dead.
I was about to buy it (support the project) untill I read when the last update was released.
You said "use an alternative" in your post.
Is there any possibility to open a different viewing app out of MiXExplorer instead of ImageViewer which would allow swiping through the whole folder?
If I click "open with" and choose Google Photos for example only the one picture opened opens in Google Photos and I cannot swipe through the whole folder like I can in ImageViewer.
Go ahead, ban me. Reason: not use search function
That would be the greatest joke of all time to tell my grandkids
And don't be weak by deleting post instead of addressing the issue, this site obviously horde justice warrior, with the guy inisiated the quarrel, yet you only delete mine.
