Sorry for not installing the beta before reporting this, but I simply don't have the time — I have about thirty minutes including having to pack up, because I'm leaving for Christmas. But, bug time: If I try to move a folder and there's a folder with the same name in the target, I get this warning that I can merge, but only if so-and-so that isn't actually clear. Being confused about that, I tap abort, but lo and behold, the source folder has now been deleted.

These were files I were adb pushing from my lappie, so no harm done, but bugs of this caliber are kinda... Well, let's say I'm no exactly psyched to continue using Mixplorer rn XD.

Refresh the files list. I doubt it was deleted.

This has never happened to me. What it sounds like is that when you pressed abort, it would of remained in your "cut queue" and hence would not show as existing in the original location. Did you confirm that you also definitely cleared your queue?

EDIT: Refreshing the path/window while its still in your cut queue (i dont know if it does remain there on an abort) , would still keep it hidden wouldn't it?

Does anyone else have this using MiXArchive_B2111081-arm when trying to open/inspect a .cbr or .rar? Idon't know for sure, but I've seen that on either tar.gz or tar.xz as well? Maybe not so hard to fix, because it worked before with an older version of the archive addon (which I don't know and have anymore).

Edit: Went to Play Store because the addon was installed from there initially and updated to the latest version via .apk install, Play Store now claims it's not compatible anymore. lol. Uninstalled it and reinstalled the .apk from Hootan's Google Drive folder, now it works. Hmm. The mysteries of Android. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I reinstalled this file manager, plug in my usb drive via otg cable but can't open it. Enable "custom driver" in settings then I can explore all my files.

However,

Most of my files (zip, jpeg) turn to 0 kb after I mount my usb drive on the day!

Turn off custom driver. After that:

Three dot menu > add > document provider > select usb drive

Done this and it working properly now. But the real issue is why some of my files turn to 0 kb? Weird.

I've tried opening the usb drive in windows pc and it still shows 0 byte..and obviously I can't open it.. corrupted? Maybe?

I'm very sure the "missing file" (10gb in total) still there but my phone and pc seems can't "see" it

Many SD cards have some degree of built-in data protection which allow them to detect impending failure and lock a particular bit on the drive which effectively renders the card read only. That may not be the case for you but the symptoms you describe speak to issues with the card rather than the devices.

Windows pc always show me this whenever I insert that "corrupted" usb drive

Edit : found another issue. Some of "corrupted zip files" duplicate itself, but with different file extension..eg : filename.zip123456789

The duplicate files with the numbers as part of the name may be a byproduct of a failed attempt to copy the files but beyond that this is getting off topic for mixplorer. Whether the message you saw is a genuine multi disc zip file message (such things do exist) or a corrupt disk, this thread is not the place to sort it out. If you do some searches based on that message and the symptoms you should be able to find answers.

Can you tell from the free space whether the 10GB file is still somewhere on the disk?

Maybe, on a real computer, use a program that undeletes/recovers deleted files.

I do understand your frustration as I have experience with such things and might even have some helpful advise, but this thread is about MiXplorer development. If a development thread were to take on general issues then the communication about development, the purpose of the thread, would be swamped by things that do not inform development. Suggesting that you stay on topic is not to be dismissive, if you find a thread or a forum that is about the topic with which you are having a problem then you will get better results. Feel free to use the MiX FAQ thread until you find a place that discusses the same issue. I'd be glad to help if possible, and have already found many reports of this USB drive issue and some possible solutions. Thank you. I changed the codes for now but this is not what I was trying to do. What I need is to know how to send a string command to Termux, like what I've done for some other Terminal apps.

Android media store needs to be updated. You can rename the folder for that or you have to wait or restart your system.

This should also work by long-pressing on the path (topmost item) and selecting "Refresh Android media-store", shouldn't it?

Android media store needs to be updated. You can rename the folder for that or you have to wait or restart your system.

Some media players have a media scanner built in. I know the one I use has it. Its called "Vinyl". Without a reboot.

Also, the app I share here on XDA called TeMeFI can scan media/files.; if you are rooted. You can find it in the menu under: Dynamic Lists>Media Scan File(s) [Java] - [*}>>>>>

It should and it's working for me but some users are saying it's not working. So I rather not to talk about that featue. Tired of thinking about Android media scanner.
