Have you seen it on an assortment of epubs?
Check that epub to see if that page is an image or text.
Maybe the epub chose to use a black background. Which still leaves the question of why the full screen wasn't used to display the page.

To your point, that is not an efficient long term solution but it may help isolate the cause of the issue or reveal what might be done about it.... or has this been resolved since you've found the encoding button in "save"as? In any event, it seems that you have a workaround (inconvienient though it may be) for the time being.

Yeah the button solved it when you open the file you gotta find the right encoding of the text and then select it after that when you save it using "save as" then you choose whatever encoding you want the text to be converted to it's great, but only two issues i have with that is 1) the button will disappear with long file name as in the screenshot in my previous post. 2) you can't replace the old file with the new one when you save as the file, there should be a prompt to ask whether you want to replace the old file with the new converted one or not when you save the file with the same name. Beside those two issue it's working like a charm.

The latest version of MiXplorer (including MiX Image) has a bug: the images load significantly slower than before. There is that loading circle in the middle for almost every picture. Previously, the images loaded instantly. Please fix this bug. I keep using an older version until it's fixed because it's a deal breaker.

I don't see this in the latest beta -- with no add-on. There's been no new version for a while now and no one has mentioned this so far either in these past weeks / months.

You should provide more info; device, version ( of MiX and Android ), local or network / remote images, etc.

My device is Samsung Galaxy A50 running Android 11. This sluggish loading bug occurs with files from Internal Storage and SD card.

The MiXplorer version without the bug I'm using now is 6.57-API29 B21121050. The version with the bug is 6.58.4_B22020910. With or without MiX Image installed, same result.

I attached 2 clips: a clip with how slow MiXplorer loads the images on 6.58.4_B22020910 and another clip with how fast MiXplorer loads the images on 6.57-API29 B21121050. Same images, same location. No MiX Image codec installed in both cases (even if it's installed, same result). I cleared the app's cache before both tests.

It should support that although with so much variation even within one Android version, different capabilities might be affected in different combinations of Android version ROM variant and root status. Also, you can probably find in the opening posts of this thread or at MiXplorer's Play Store page which Android versions MiX is compatible with. It's even part of the title of this thread.

If you want to dig further you could try testing with the files in a different location on the internal storage or on external storage (slot in device, not usb-otg).

I've crosschecked multiple epubs, as I have huge library of ebooks. It's same across all of em.

I am very gratefull for the existance of this app.

I use this app since long time ago and with version 6.58.4 (any of the 3 versions, BETA, API19 and standar) I can not identify with my Dropbox account, it redirects me to callback website:

I returned to a previous version I had installed before (6.57.6) and it still works fine. I use Edge browser always, and with 6.57.6 there is no problem.

Device: Realme 8
Android version: Android 12 - Realme UI 3.0
ROM version: RMX3085_11_C.06
Root status: None
SU method: None
MiXplorer version: 6.58.4

I was experiencing this issue after installing v6.58.4 on my new S21 FE today. I figured it out after reading a reply that Hootan left for a Play Store review of Silver. If you have the same issue as me, then you need to go into app info for MiX and open the "Set as Default" settings. Enable "Open supported links" if it is disabled, and then do the same for Google under "Supported web addresses."

I never accessed Gdrive from MiXplorer on my current device before so I just tried it and had no issues connecting to it, after the usual security bla-bla from Google.
They have started restricting access to what they deem "not secure apps", but you can get around that by setting app specific passwords via your Google account settings. Maybe you need to do that? I've only had to do it for K-9 mail so far, but who knows what all Google will deem not secure in the future

Hi Hootan! Your FTP server is the only one that works with Android 12. I've tried a dozen other FTP servers, but none work with Android 12. Thanks a lot for your efforts!

I tried it now but it didn't. Try different browsers.
I used the latest version of Brave.

Edit: Maybe you have selected to always open the browser. When you tap on Grant access button, it will show you the list of apps and you should select MiX.

Android 12 is causing me this issue all over again. I have not option to open in the app, I only get a list of browsers and then the call back no longer works. I have tried 3 different browsers.

Tried adding the sites.google.com address to MiX and it shows up but cannot check the box to add. And just hitting add does nothing.
