I don't quite understand, MiXplorer Silver is also currently available on Samsung Galaxy Store.

That sounds good for a local workaround and I'm all for getting around Google's onerous restrictions but it might be prudent to ask the developer for permission before redistributing their application with a different package name through an additional App Store.

Sure, Hootan would have to do these things, of course. The app is closed source anyway.

I m not able to edit files inside a zip or archive that was previously supported for eg. a text file inside a .zip file was edited and saced on version 6.57.6 but the same in 6.58.4 give a toast of "null output!".

anyone else with the same issue?

Yeah. But only if you edit a file in a subdirectory. If the file is in a root of the zip it seems to work.

I read that Google will not tolerate an app being distributed, or downloading additional content, other than through Google. I didn't read the contract, so I don't know much, but I also read of someone "forced" to take the trouble to make a 2nd app to satisfy Google.

Maybe Google has an approved "network", maybe Samsung is "in-network", maybe the restriction has been lifted, maybe "all" a publisher needs to do is get a duly executed waiver.

My point was that it's not as easy as posting the app on multiple distribution networks. There will be some aggravation with making distinct "apps", and then ongoing aggravation building all the variants for every release.

Have all the crashes occurred when you tried to perform a "Find and Replace"?
Does the text editor also crash?
Have you tried to produce a minimal test case?

The crashes happens randomly when I'm using the text editor, for example it happens when i use big files that contains thousands of line and while exploring the file it crashes also the line number in text editor next to the file contents often disappear when a file is bigger than ~1000 line or can't display more than ~500 number

I think it could be happening due to code highlighting, it's very buggy (slow as well as incorrect highlighting) on my old tablet.
Try selecting "Highlight as..." > "None" in text editor's menu.

I talked to the dev he sent me a modified version now i don't face crash issue although Arabic and Hebrew files are abit laggy and slow he said he can't do much about them at the time.

Even though it is not a released version (and even though we should not share unreleased material) it would still have a version # and it would be helpful to know how that version # compares to the current beta, XDA and Silver version. That information might guide others who have experienced similar issues.

It stands to reason that this would involve a selecting a folder or group of files and then something in the menu, so with a bit of exploration we have this:

Select folder which contains media files (or enter folder and select the files within) > Menu > Add to > Playlist

I dont know as I dont use these features much. Wait for feedback from other users or the developer. Note: the developer is sometimes away from the thread for a while (could be weeks or even months) but is good about following up upon return.

Thanks. People who have experienced similar issues may now be able to tell if they should test more or not. Although I've not been highly impacted by such issues there has been something odd about the way the editors handle large files and I'm curious about the result once HP releases it. Thanks again.
