I think I found a solution, I checked under Settings -> Advanced (like you suggested) within the firefox app and I deselected the 'Open links in apps' option, now when I click on a link that ends with .html it doesn't try to open an external app (mixplorer)
It took me a moment to figure out that was the same panel I refered to in my note about this in the FAQ.
I am relaxed and not assuming anything. If someone has misunderstood my request, the least I can do is to clarify it.
I actually contacted Hootan and he told me he would work on it. Let's see if it's a simple tweak.
Problem solved, by switching to SW mode in Mix player. This enables you to choose between audio tracks for the video. Thx to none other than Hootan himself!
Well in that case I would revert back a page and see what I wrote about the other user's request to have a file manager be a media player. Your case sounds similar as mixplorer is neither a music player or media player, but a file manager. Which I believe should always be separate things. I use Poweramp for music which displays Metadata, Nova or MXPlayer for videos, and MiXplorer for file management. And just like I said to the other user before getting attacked, I have no control over what is included or excluded as features or add ons for MiXplorer, but I don't see how adding things that are handled by other apps like music players or media players can be all that useful while not bloating the app. But that is just my opinion and I am not always in the majority and features I thought I would hate, Hootan has added in and I use all the time. It just seems like by the end of what started as the most basic, lightweight file manager, will become it's own operating system that handles everything.

Seems like my problem is google-drive related. When I edit the tags for non-google drive mp3 files, the changes are saved. However, for Google drive files, the edits are not saved. Funny thing is that for these Google drive files, non-metadata edits such as name changes are saved. What gives?Android stores/accesses media mettadata in two locations. 2. The Android MediaDB. Which off the bat, sounds more like what android would do, to android data, and I have seen multiple times elsewhere. ie read it once, store it, use its own records, and not mess with your files, that are not part of android itself. See my post:

I dont really use google drive files on my phone. I have 128GB and thats plenty for me to have all local, and I dont need to access from other devices. But, just *guessing* the name is an external attribute (you can issue a one line command to google drive of just the original & new names), while the metadata is internal, and would likely need to download the entire file locally (which could be GB's), modify it locally, and then send it back, again, possibly GB's. Not the sort of thing you would want if you were on a limited data plan.
Totally valid points. But another viewpoint is that cellphones now commonly have 64 GB or 128 GB, so even more important (in my opinion) than size is competitiveness. If mixplorer wants to be remain competitive, one would expect it to do what almost all file managers (actually all of the 15 or so I have tested) do. Since much less flies managers like filemanager+ already display metadata while playing, I really don't think this is a big ask and it will likely not be a hard tweak for Hootan. Just my two cents.

With external drive disconnected, do you have a Mixplorer bookmark? Delete it.
It sounds to me that you want a media player. MiXplorer is a file manager. Everything you have requested is available in almost every media player. This app is for managing files on device. Image viewer, video player, music player, etc are add ons and are not media players. Now I'm not saying that your requests may not be implemented but you can just use mx player or Nova player or most media players to do what you are requesting. To me it just seems like you need a media player.
