I never accessed Gdrive from MiXplorer on my current device before so I just tried it and had no issues connecting to it, after the usual security bla-bla from Google.
They have started restricting access to what they deem "not secure apps", but you can get around that by setting app specific passwords via your Google account settings. Maybe you need to do that? I've only had to do it for K-9 mail so far, but who knows what all Google will deem not secure in the future

Thanks for that reminder. Prior to the recent security additions I had placed some material for the MiX FAQ on a GDrive and accessed it via a MiX bookmark, which as just now discovered and as expected, redirects to a google page informing about changes to authentication. Yikes, with different gmail accounts dedicated to Google play services on Android devices, and to other purposes such as the GDrive in question under a different google account, and with multiple devices and multiple apps requiring this extra step I've got to carefully consider the ramifications of doing all that just for testing GDrive in MiX.
BTW: Having recently migrated from K-9 Mail to Fair Email but keeping K-9 as backup I forgot to get those set for Google in K-9 so thanks for that incidental reminder as well.

Meanwhile I have a question for anyone who is currently using Gdrive in MiX from a MiX bookmark:

After we get the one time code/password from Google how to we use it to configure GDrive?

IIRC this was discussed not long ago but I cannot find references to it.

I found my drive but over there I did not found my files and folders. I found these folders and I did not create them. How to access my files and folder now?
Did you try to look inside the folders you can see?

How did this all start? Did you create the cloud account? Is "WD" "Western Digital"? Is there a hard drive involved? (I mean in your possession. Is this a network drive?)

Okay, in these 2 folders no files are available and I do have cloud account and I can access my full library via app/internet though. Yes, its "WD My Cloud Home" in other words "Western Digital".

Need to mansion that, before this drive can be accessible using drive local ip, but now only way to access is internet. Now need to log in "auth0.accounts.westerndigital.com" this site first. then I can able to access my drive.

Before what? ("...before this drive can be accessible using drive local ip, but now only way to access is internet.")

What do you mean "access by internet"? If you mean you can access the drive by specifying your external IP address, then use that in a bookmark. Maybe it doesn't have a static address on the local network, and the local address changed.

A quick Google did not show me anything that looked like it was going to explain in detail. I don't know whether they are deliberately coy about details, or they just assume the typical user doesn't want to know. Either way, I don't know whether "auth0.accounts.westerndigital.com" is a real site on the internet, or some fiendishly clever way to refer to your drive without knowing the local IP address.

Personally, I would not tolerate a drive that sits on my desk but cannot be accessed without an external internet connection, no matter how reliable my ISP.

Firstly, before means, while ago this kind of WD Home device can be accessible using IP address of device. But I have read in WD forum that, WD removed this option for WD Home devices, so now only possible to access files using mobile app or web via internet.

Secondly, from pc if I want to use my drive I need to go https://home.mycloud.com to access my drive, after sign in this link redirect me to "auth0.accounts.westerndigital.com" and that's all, all files are there.

I'm not clear what state you are in or where you want to be. You will have to recognize when one of my suggestions would ruin something with which you are perfectly happy.

I get the impression that this drive has a web-page interface that does not need to involve Western Digital's server. Use a browser to "go to" the drive (URL 192.168.x.y) and you should get a login page. If you don't remember the username or password, or the port was changed by you or by WD, you should be able to reset the drive and have these revert to their defaults.

I expect that it is in this "dashboard" that you would do as @mrjuniork suggested: set up an SMB share, specify its name, maybe password, what directory on the drive is being shared.

If you want to pursue this here, please explain in detail what you can and cannot do. Start with:

Can you use a browser to go to the local IP address of the drive? Do you get a login page? Are you sure you are using the right address?

Good idea to check for local IP address as you suggest. The way that drive behaves seems similar to some routers where there is a combination of local and Internet dependency so when the router is configured through the branded interface the Internet is required but when already configured can be accessed directly by IP address. To the point of which of all these things applies to MiXplorer +1 to the suggestion to test accessed through a web browser to the local IP address.

I have checked my IP and it was correct, even according to MiXplorer my drive IP is also10.20.30.128:445 but when I try to login with this IP, error messages appear (you can search this error messages on google)

I'm sure you guys don't have "WD My Cloud Home" that is why you don't know how does it works now. I'm pretty sure that regular NAS and WD Home has different architecture. You guys telling me general things which was logical but not appropriate solution for "WD My Cloud Home" device. Anyway, thanks for your help and advice.

I still think you should check your router to see if an address 192.168.y.x is assigned to it. Then see if there is an HTTP server on *that* address.

It troubles me that you connected to http://10.20.30.128:80 (port 80 is the default for http). But you did get a response: I don't think that JSON is the browser's way of saying "error", I think that is the limited response you got. Maybe on port 80 it expects an HTTP request to include a query string.

Try https://

Is Mixplorer able to access the other three shares?

Are you able, either with the WD mobile app, or the PC browser interface, to access some kind of control panel ("dashboard") where the SMB shares are defined?

I don't have a WD My cloud Home device because I prefer local storage but I (and probably other people here) do understand the way it works or at least that, to your point, it is not behaving as regular NAS. The issue for you regarding MiXplorer is that you need to figure out if it that WD device behaves as a cloud device or as a local device, and if it would work at all.

From the things I've learned doing some research about it, if you connect the device by ethernet cable (possibly directly to the computer) then you can see it local to the computer without the my cloud software but then could not see it through the cloud. On the other hand, if you are using the WD software it will only be accessible via the cloud, which seems to be what is happening in your case.

I'm beginning to think that, to your point about different architecture, the Western Digital software and methods might be proprietary and may not be compatible with other "universal" methods of access. For that reason it might be more productive if you search in the WD My Cloud forums for answers to the question "is there any way I can access this drive through my LAN via commonly available network or local protocols in non-WD My Cloud software." It's quite possible that the answer is no but if the answer is yes then you could ask "what syntax would be required" (which is to the point of many of the questions and suggestions you received so far).

[EDIT] Having reviewed recent thread pages I'm reminded that you have found the drive but cannot see the contents: that might be another question to ask in the WD forums.

I'm using Oxygen OS 11.0.5.6 and MiXplorer 6.49.5 B21010210 (stable build from XDA). The popup showed up only the first time and I can see the contents of the Android/ data and Android/ obb folders (I have NOT rooted my device).

I'm actually surprised I can see these folders' contents as I thought Android 11 restricts 3rd party apps from doing that.
I wish I could do it, but it doesn't work. When going to Android/ data folder, it just redirects to built in OS file manager...
There are many saved files by telegram and other apps in those folders that aren't accessible through MiXplorer which is a problem for many android users.

Do you have "Link to Windows" app on your Android device?
    Yup
    1
What manufacturer device were you using? I'm trying to gauge what to expect if I test this on Motorola device.
Pixel 6 pro. But I've also used it on my 1+7T. I don't use it often, but if you think about any other windows/Microsoft apps for Android you could just easily think it was bloat ware. I use it because I literally take 1000s of pics a year at work and I load them on my laptop and use it to access them when needed at work before they get filed away on a hard drive. Sooner or later I will probably just get my job to splurge for one of them Google 1 plans. Then I can move all my DCP's (blueprints)to digital and clear out about 10 years of them from my storage at work. Sorry, sort of went off on a tangent...

If you have your computer on and hooked up to internet, your phone will link to your computer. But there isn't any way that I have seen to sub in another 3rd party app like MiXplorer to connect instead of the windows interface it uses. The app on the play store is basically just a giant ad for other Microsoft and windows products, besides being the service connection to your computer.

Thanks, I anticipate it will behave the same way on Motorola devices I also see the phone link stuff as bloatware and I use MyPhoneExplorer to sync 3 phones to 2 computers without the cloud, and I'm fascinated by the description in the original request that started this about how the UI behaves. That being said I'm still not sure if I want to register one of my phones with Microsoft just to test for something that probably cannot be done with mix anyhow. Sorry for the ot. Thanks again.
It does work, but I feel like it would be more beneficial to those that constantly need files off their computer, or are on a computer at work and they can get calls and messages on their conputer. But it most definitely is a Microsoft android app

    Hi

Is it possible to swap these two panels in places?

One will be like a toolbar and the other one will be like statusbar with information

    View attachment 5721711

Nice mock-up. AFAIK, not really, in fact the settings I'm aware of do the opposite and pull more UI elements to the bottom in portrait.

Settings > More settings > Bottom bar

Settings > More settings > split action bar.

Take a look at what those settings do for comparison keeping in mind they don't necessarily do what you want but could help form a feature request. Note: in landscape with dual panel mode there might be different effects to the same settings. Also could you clarify whether the upward arrow in your picture is pointing to the breadcrumb bar or the main bar in the blue above it?
