Yea true, but using it in a bunch of different groups isn't too bad. But Discord ... nope, never again

Not sure If it is alright, but I recommend to have a discord server for mixplorer.
Everything here is cluttered. Things can be better organised there, and it will be better for real time support and separate channels for bugs, requests and others.
It's hard to keep up in XDA.
I wasn't questioning the security/privacy implications of files not being thoroughly deleted. I was questioning whether a particular option in Mixplorer meant what some people thought it meant.I'm sorry but there is no enterprise or tightly managed home shop I know of that would allow items to be handled like that, nor have I ever seen something like that on Android. A strong case can be made for this as a security/privacy issue but if you don't see the value of that for your usage case then let's not engage in debate about the merits of this to privacy and let's look at the simple facts. With the recycle feature disabled items are being recycled. That should not happen. If the feature is disabled then... it should be disabled. To not have things go to the recycle bin is the specific purpose of disabling the recycle bin.
Was a good idea to suggest something so dont take everyone's comments personally, maybe its an age thing but I am another one that dislikes discord telegram etc and find those platforms a total mess to navigate, I follow (If i can call it that) the telegram group for Viper4android, have absolutely no idea whats going on there, a complete stream of gibberish, there are a few others that I can't make heads or tails of either, one of the problems with xda in my opinion is that it does not translate well to mobile, i find xda to be good but prefer it on a computer, again that might just be a age thing......Edit- just removed everything as I can't delete the post and everyone here already hate discord.
I had to take that personally, there is a polite way to show that they dislike any app, I am never ever going to suggest anything again,4 thumbs down for Discord from me as well, but this is not born of disagreement about the limitations of flat forums and what could be better at XDA. A dedicated bug tracker, which has been mentioned before, might help with organization but if that were practical for the developer to do it would probably already be in place.
[EDIT] @flames2838, also please don't take the fact that some people don't like Discord as a lack of appreciation for the suggestion. Just because I'm not for it doesn't make it an unreasonable suggestion.
I know we're off topic (again)...I had to take that personally, there is a polite way to show that they dislike any app, I am never ever going to suggest anything again,
I don't appreciate comments like "this app is cancer"
Looking at these comments, I don't think xda is any better

And some of us who don't do "quite reserved" just kept quietIn public forums where you must become accustomed to a wide range of opinion and style expression. Believe it or not, some people were being quite reserved about their negative impressions of discord.
Apologies for the off topic.
I wasn't questioning the security/privacy implications of files not being thoroughly deleted. I was questioning whether a particular option in Mixplorer meant what some people thought it meant.
I thought the only option (I use an old version) was to determine the default, with the other choice available by some variation of touch.
I now see that even my version has two entries in More Settings, and that one of those does talk about whether the Undo capability will be available at all.
Why add to another platform when it is already available on a platform? I don't get moving android and development away from the site that is made specifically for Android and development. Wtf is discord and why should i, a long time user of MiX and XDA, even be discussing it? It is neither an Android or development site. People think XDA threads get convoluted, I know, let's really make things hard by moving to other sites. It's like the logic of we have a huge gun problem, what we need to do is sell more guns!!! It just makes 0 sense.I had to take that personally, there is a polite way to show that they dislike any app, I am never ever going to suggest anything again,

It is.
Google Play rejected updates again.

Issue details
We found an issue in the following area(s):
-----------------
- SPLIT_BUNDLE 22090550: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Personal Info Data Type - Email Address
I think I'm really confused about what is collecting the user data and sharing them. For example for connecting to mega.com, MiX is sending user's email and password off the device. Or it's using WebView for login.
This is what they say:
------------------------------------------------------
You must disclose:
-----------------
- Any of the required user data types that are collected and/or shared.
- Any user data sent off the user's device by libraries or SDKs used in your app, regardless of whether this information is transmitted to you (the developer) or a third party.
- Any user data transferred from your server to a third party, or transferred to another third party app on the same device.
- Any user data collected or transferred through a webview which can be opened from your app - unless users are navigating the open web.
I feel embarrassed!
Hi,Hello everyone.
I have two issue. Hope you all can help me solve it. I am on Oneplus 9R rooted with Oxygen OS 13. I have MiXplorer installed version 6.58.8. The issue is that if i want to install an app and set package installer and click on remember it won't stay like that. The next time also while installing it ask what app to open with. Is there issue with the app or with my device..? (Screenshot attached) View attachment 5818911The second issue is that i am not able to access the android/data folder even though i have root. I know that there is an issue with android 13 that it doesn't allow access to the data folder. But with root i thought it will be accessible. Please let me know if i am missing something about it. Thanks in advance for the help![]()
Okay i installed the latest beta from the google drive and the issue with the installation is solved. Now it directly takes the package installer as the default. But still the access to data folder is not happening.Hello everyone.

I'm getting more confused. As someone else (@J.Michael ?) may have mentioned, the wording of much of this seems to be referring to a declaration that you make to Google (rather than to users) about the app capabilities. You may have already been though this but in case not, from here: (where one user said of the answer "Thanks. Google should hire you to rewrite their own emails and documentation"
https://stackoverflow.com/questions...compliant-with-google-play-policies-what-is-t
This statement:
"All apps are required to complete an accurate Data safety section that discloses their data collection and sharing practices - this is a requirement even if your app does not collect any user data."
Maybe some of the other replies in that thread are helpful but I could not reproduce what they were suggesting.
Here is Google's related gibberish (and "relational gibberish" is an apt description of google) which you also may have seen: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/10787469?hl=en
To your point, it is hard to properly interpret all 4 of those statements (quoted below) in terms of the message"SPLIT_BUNDLE 22090550: Policy Declaration - Data Safety Section: Personal Info Data Type - Email Address"
- Any of the required user data types that are collected and/or shared.
- Any user data sent off the user's device by libraries or SDKs used in your app, regardless of whether this information is transmitted to you (the developer) or a third party.

Lol... Just replied to my comment that yes the first point is working with latest beta. For the second point.. can you explain it in detail.. coz if i am able to give access to sd card but not the data folder (1st screenshot). If i use a MiXplorer app to give the access (2nd screenshot) I am able to view the folder but not able to rename any folder.. it throws be back to Mixplorer data screen with the folder name unchangedHi,
1. Try the latest beta.
2. Use different paths to ./Android/data directory like /sdcard.
Since the last update (MiXplorer 6.59.0 B23012940), I am no longer offered the option to Merge Tasks (it IS enabled in the settings). A quick search didn't find anyone else reporting this.
No internet is required, the links are "captured" by MiX.
Using Nova launcher gestures sells it for meTasker, Edge Gestures, Nova Launcher Gestures, Automate, and so on, and much more friendly than broadcast intents.
- 'Remember Delete option' will remember the last selected option in dialog.@m0han Ninja-ed me but, maybe Undo is not quite all back. Not posting as implied criticism, I've been on a deep dive into the Rabbit Hole this Evening (or Morning or Afternoon) and just came up for air after a few hours so here we go.
6.59.0-BETA B23012410, Stock Moto A10 rooted magisk, testing with files on external SD. Settings > More settings, now includes all 3 options: Recycle bin, Undo, and Remember delete but, I’m not seeing how to use them properly or there are still issues with them. Details below;
- With only Recycle Bin enabled then recycled files are sent to the .recycle folder and can be restored manually but there is no apparent option in the menu. The deleted files in the .recycle folder retain their original names but without something like the menu that was used for the old undo function, a user would have to know the file name and search for it or search for all files in the .recycle folder to find the item to restore.
- With only Undo enabled then after copy or move (or delete) operations, there is a Menu > undo item but invoking it yields toast “no item”.
- With both Recycle Bin and Undo enabled, then the same as above: after copy or move or delete operations, there is a Menu > undo item but invoking it yields toast “no item”.
- The .recycle folder (when not deleted between tests) seems to contain the files that were deleted with Recycle Bin enabled, and also seems to contain the folders for the copy/moves (although those folders contain no identifiable files.
- With both Recycle Bin and Undo disabled, a file that is Deleted via Select > menu > tap delete > acknowledge permanent = is actually deleted and does not force the creation of the. recycle folder. That is good but…
- Now we get to the drum I may beat until the skin on my hand or the skin of the drum starts to crack. With both Recycle Bin and Undo disabled, Select > long press deletes still creates the .recycle folder and copies the file there. I don’t care what is done with the Recycle Bin because I don’t use it and that it sort the point. I dont use it but it still can happen. Even with all relevant options disabled it is all too easy for an intended delete operation to become a file copy operation into it another folder unbeknownst to the user and not with the scope of familiar locations where it might be discovered. Please give us a way to disable this.
Notes:
Remember delete option remained disabled throughout testing.
.recycle folder was deleted between major test segments,
BTW @HootanParsa, assuming that both Beta and XDA version might be using the .recycle folder, are there any concerns for people who use Recycle Bin in multiple version of MiX (XDA, Silver, Beta)? This is not of concern to me as I only Recycle Bin in the beta for testing (so there is nothing potentially placed there by the XDA version is at risk) but I was curious about this.
It's not just about the Trash bin.Now the word "Trash" is gone so what will Mac users do?
But seriously, even though I agree with the change in terminology the new label is so long as to undermine itself as a label.
@HootanParsa, here is a suggestion which might accommodate all user preferences while making the label shorter by renaming it to the following:
Recycle (also known as Undo or Trash).
Why disabling Recycle bin option is not so obvious, as it was on previous versions?
How can I disable thumbnails? I can't find any option for that in More Settings.
Is it possible to edit format of information (date, time, size, number of items for folder) under folder and file name?
...As far as I remember, in 6.41.3 version all of that were simply configurable.
Your case is different.Using /mnt/user/0/emulated/0 as working directory on the ftp settings allows to access /Android/data
Thanks!
More annoying than people who can't read a few pages back in a thread, or maybe even search the thread which would lead you to your answer and/or the amazing MiXplorer thread by @IronTechmonkey that has loads of useful info. Just like what you were asking about. For the love of all that is holy, how the hell do you turn off the Recycle Bin?
Most annoying thing ever....
