I would like that undo and delete are treated separate, the undo option would be for copy/move/rename and a separate delete/bin function that relates to just that. undo history and delete history.

Mechanically the developer did just start treating them separately, as different functions which are differentiated by different labels in the undo list, but I can dig the tweak you are suggesting which, to add more detail, is to have separate menu options (for items that are selected), one each for Recycle Bin and Undo, where invoking either only shows the items within that group. That would be a nice addition if it's not too much extra work.

What I was suggesting about the undo history would be to remove individual things from the history list, eg I have done a bunch of file renames and copying, from the undo history I may want to the copying records but want to keep the rename, the way undo history works at the moment is you can delete the whole history or keep the whole history, would be good to pick and choose what bits of the undo history gets kept

Ahh, thanks for explaining, as I initially thought you were suggesting still more settings within the menu. I like the idea of individual removal from Undo as well, and it might not be that difficult to implement. Since we can already long press an item to display it for possible recovery, maybe then in that panel there could be a "remove from undo" button. It might also be possible to bring those buttons (Restore and Remove from Undo) into the main undo list but that might be a bigger bit work

Not sure I like that mixplorer leaves stuff lying around, I know when you uninstall it asks if you want to keep user data, I personally dont really care for a recycle bin, actually caused me to run out of space on my tablet because I forgot/didn't notice I had it turned on lol,

That would imply that you didn't notice the menu with "recycle" and "permanent" options each time you deleted a file, and or that you enabled the remember option . On the other hand, not leaving things lying around seems like a reasonable aspiration. That being said, I once again cite the irregularity of the android universe which is very different from other OS with a trash or recycle feature; even with the .recycle folder separate from the app data, the material is not as safe (persistent) as it is in any of those other systems as users may expect. In those systems there's no way to lose your recycled material by uninstalling an application.

IMO the preservation of user data and the compensation for android's variability in behavior described above overrides this but on its own this is an interesting point for which there are reasonable arguments on both sides. On one hand, if you use the undo feature and recycle bin responsibly and know what's in there it can certainly be of benefit if .recycle is included in the backup but, back to your point of not leaving things lying around, on the other hand there would be user data from different apps in that MiXplorer backup which some people might not like.

@IronTechmonkey Deeplinks are real links but they are intercepted by the target app and perform specific actions.
They must be added to your homescreen the same way you add website links, but when you click on it, MiX will execute the action.

I created a Homescreen shortcut by entering the address in a browser (Naked Browser), then allowing the connection to fail (the connection must be at least attempted to do this) and then using a browser feature to Make new launcher shortcut. The number of different ways this can be done may be a challenge to document but that means people have many options. Thanks for the explanation.

At this point I've got that stuff covered regarding documentation (thanks to your help) but the one thing I don't fully understand yet is the expectation. Is this something that someone would run on the same device as the server which is being controlled or is this something that someone can run on one device in order to control a server on another device that is on the same network? Nope, deeplinks are just a simpler way to toggle the servers, the same way you could do with tasker, via Android quick settings tile or via Mix - 3 dots - Servers. Good for using with kustom apps or whatever you want to perform the action faster.

Got it, thanks for clarifying. This also offers more flexibility for organizing the home screen because multiple shortcuts can be put into one folder or group while standard widgets cannot, and to your point it can be run from anywhere... even from Tasker .
