The only way that I can remove it completly is to do "Clear Storage" but then all the skin and theme setting are changed back to default.
I wish there's another easy way to do it.

Yeah, clearing storage for the whole app is not a viable workaround. I thought there was something else that could be done such as clear access, which would erase document providers but would not affect any settings or bookmarks. I'll poke around the FAQ to see if I can find it later.

Please add wordwrap to mixplorer code and text editor.
Presently the code editor supports line wrap(not wordwrap) however enabling that prevents one from zooming in or out.
Also i request you to add zoom in the text editor.

To connect some dots, I did not explain how to delete a bookmark and merely stated that it must be done https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...y-featured-file-manager.1523691/post-88307919 because at some point and for some tasks people must see the FAQ in which this particular answer is easy to find, significant in this case because there is an issue which can make a bookmark persist even after being deleted.
@chanh2018, if this regards merely deleting the bookmark then do as @Nimueh suggests, and in the future please check the FAQ for basic stuff, but if the issue is that the bookmark persists even after you delete it then there is a different thing which may prevent that. Could you please clarify which it is?

Thanks for confirming. That is what I meant in previous reply "manually delete bookmark". "Clear access" is to "Remove OTG bookmark if it reappears after drive is removed:" The distinction between the 2 scenarios is that in one case (yours) the bookmark had not yet been deleted but could be deleted and in the other case even after being deleted it comes back. I'm glad you got it working, and that the FAQ covered both sides of this (which is not always the case).

Which 3rd parties? MiXplorer doesn't share anything, except with sites you use it to log in to like Mega or Drive, since they need to know your login data.
There was a lengthy discussion about this a few weeks ago when the Playstore unlisted MiX and wanted to know which infos it shares. So he had to add all of that just to get re-listed again.
No idea, just basing it mainly on the information provided that it may share photos with third parties? if the dev has explained it then I guess that's ok. It just doesn't seem to jive with the Privacy Policy on the devs website.
I'm pretty sure he HAD to add that because the folks at google had a sh!tfit about the storage logins. Of course if you use any of those then your "data" aka logins and your photos, if you upload them, will be shared ... but I guess logic isn't the strongsuit of any google employee
Most of those items have to do with the functionality of MiXplorer, eg in order to present a list of installed apps or to share files with other apps that permission must be announced, but I don't think the developer is sharing our information with third parties unrelated to the function of the app.

Having just come here from a disheartening article about Google: A puzzling thing about Google is that they are, or were, reputed to have a good (humane) work culture in spite of their tracking habits and the onerous restrictions they place on android devices, but parallel to a recent huge round of layoffs cruelly announced by email, the culture at Google seems to have been dehumanized. Considering what a "humanized" iteration of Google has offered us until now I'm concerned about what a dehumanized iteration of Google does regarding such restrictions in the future.
I believe it is a misunderstanding.
I believe the correct statement would be "this app does not share any data".
Some people at Google have decided that any app that requests a particular permission MUST be sharing data. This is a stupid opinion: When you ask Mixplorer to access your Google Drive account on your behalf, and Mixplorer passes along the credentials you provide to gain that access, that is not "sharing" data. But the people at Google whose job is "verifying" privacy policy declarations either do not understand, or just want to take the easy way out -- after all, who is going to get in trouble if the policy says "may share" but the app *never* shares?
1. How to remove authorization requirement to access Google Drive?
This was discussed some weeks ago, but I never saw an answer. When accessing my Google Drive with MiX for the first time in a session, MiX requires a fingerprint to access Drive. Solid Explorer requires no authorization (as I have it set up at least). I do not want MiX to require authentication. I believe this is controlled by the "advanced settings" when adding the Drive account, but I don't know what value to use where.
2. Since version 6.61.6 B23031310 (at least) , I have an issue where, when moving files, the file that is LISTED as being moved is a previous file, not the actual file that is moving. This seems to be a visual bug only, but it is annoying. Doubt I am the only one seeing this.

Can you look at the Solid Explorer equivalent of a bookmark to Google Drive and see what kind of "settings" there are, and what values they have?
My first guess would be "stay_alive".
Solid Explorer seems to default to no authentication. I believe it uses a seperate master password that CAN be enabled if chosen. MiX defaults to REQUIRING authorization and from my reading of the FAQ thread, it seems only Hootan knows how the "advanced settings" are to be uaed. Is it 1's and 0's? Y's and N's? I guess the assumption is we know this? I don't personally.

Here is some info still in my brain that may help you, unless I am confused.
MiX themes are stored in mit files. The mit extension can be renamed to zip to extract and edit them. Among various things in the mit file folder is the properties.xml file.
If you haven't, I recommend searching the Android Themes forum on XDA for "MiXplorer", as there are numerous old threads about theming MiX.
I have found the attached PDF very useful, credit to whoever created it!5
While we are giving credit where it is due, I would like to thank djdarkknight96 (won't ping him, not sure he is still active) for creating the Pitched Black Green theme, which I made some minor changes to and haven't needed to theme MiX since.Credit for the contents of the theming section of the MiX FAQ goes to @FatalBulletHit who assembled a very nice batch of information, and to the themers and skinners who participate in the threads. I dont play much with themes so without that additional information my version of MiX FAQ Skins and Themes post might simply say, "MiX has themes and skins. Have fun playing with them and please tell me how they work."

Tap on the theme.mit file in MiXplorer and select Explore.
Also, in the default theme, tint_icon_signs is commented out:

So resetting themes and using a skin that allows tint_icon_signs to be edited should work.5
It is impossible what you said. Reset theme remove the theme folder with all the custom theme resources. After reset theme force close Mixplorer (remove from multitasking background list) then restart and apply some skin. Are you sure your skin is not corrupted??5
You make confusion. The link you privide in this post is not a skin. It is a theme. This is the reason. There is a huge difference between theme and skin. For that reason you have not clearly explained the issue in your previous posts. If you after resetting the theme install another theme you cannot change icon sign color from editor because the theme (properties.xml and drawable folder) override the editor. If you are new you need to learn more about theme and skin. Pheraphs some more details are in the mix faq thread...i am not sure but you can take a look into it. -

MiX would have the developer's key and not F-Droid's. F-Droid cannot build MiX, it is not open source and the code is not available. The person setting up the repository also cannot build it for the same reason.
The ( terrible, awful ) idea was that someone ( NOT F-Droid themselves, but the person you quote ) wanted to set up a repository mirroring the developer's drive, copying the builds there ( illegally, since this is proprietary software with a license ) to distribute them.
Edit : And you've just proven one of my points. People will be confused and misled about this whole idea, just as you have. Let it die, stop.

In Name mode (i.e. not Regex, etc), use %A%N as the name, and %01d in Advanced settings > Incremental number format. Preview available from the drop-down menu next to the name field.
Edit: mind the space at the beginning of the default ' (%...d)' format. %01d is equivalent to %d. The 0 enables 0-padding. The digit(s) after the 0 specifies the minimum length of the resulting increment, padding it with zeros where necessary. Feel free to add any alphanumeric or punctuation characters (except /:\$% and maybe more) before % and after d, e.g. 'Picture %03d — '.8
The file with "API29" in its name declares itself as using version 29 of the Android API. Sometimes an app that claims it is targetting an older version of the API is allowed to do something that used to be allowed but is no longer allowed.
Use the file that does not mention API. If you have a problem, like being unable to write to an external SD-card, you can try the other version. Or ask here and see if anyone thinks it will help.77
Actually that's not entirely correct as F-Droid will replace the author's key with their own. They use the same key for each and every app in the repo. If you install any app from their repo, and then download an update directly from the original source, Android will refuse to update and you would need to reinstall the app.
It is perfectly possible to get instant updates for MiXplorer (or any other app for that matter) by using Obtainium! It can update your apps from the official (or any other) source directly, such as GitHub/Gitlab/custom F-droid repo's/any HTML page etc.
It will automatically check all available .apks from the configured source and look for the newest version for your architecture. If there is a newer version it will let you know and can update the app. You can even search for any app inside Obtainium and it will automatically search GitHub and then let you pick the right one from a dropdown with results. You only have to do this once per app and then you are set for life.
Obtainium is much faster as you get updates directly from the source and you don't have to wait for e.g. F-droid to sign and put the new version in the repository. Nowadays my updates almost exclusively come from Obtainium and not from Playstore or repo's that always lag behind.
More importantly it is much more secure, and not just because of instantaneous updates. If a third party repo that is distributing multiple self-signed apps gets compromised, so will each one of those apps on your phone, generally giving much wider system access and permissions.
The biggest problem with the F-droid repository is that developers' keys get removed and replaced with F-droid's own key. Thus all apps get signed with the same key. If this ever gets compromised than each single one of the F-droid apps will be. This makes it very attractive for hackers to target such a repository, as they can push updates to millions of users all with the same key.
Downloading from the source avoids this problem as each app will be signed with the developers' own keys, thus even if a malicious actor compromises the source, they would still need the developers' own key or Android will block it. If they only have the key, not control over source, no problem either. There's no single point of failure.
Going after a single developer is much less lucrative, and also harder, because their IP-adress is not publicly linked to the repository (unless self-hosting). Signing happens on a completely different private system, and only the .apk, not the key can be found at the source. In case of F-droid, hackers already know pretty much where they need to penetrate, simply by resolving the URL. The signing happens automatically and continuously on their server as new versions come out.
The app is pretty new, but gaining traction and updates very regularly with new features coming in lightning speed. I haven't had a single app that I couldn't get to work with Obtainium. The only downside is that you'll have to remove any app installed from the F-droid repository and then reinstall with the .apk from the source, as they will have a different key. Removing and reinstalling can be done through Obtainium though.
Upside of using source apk instead of Google Playstore version is that there are no automatically included Google Firebase and other trackers added in without the dev choosing to put it in their build.
Most apps can be found on Github/Gitlab and will be set-up in a few seconds due to their seamless integration(set-up a personal acces token for faster search results). If you're too lazy to confirm / look-up the source for each of your apps you could even import a backup from a user that has already configured all sources (optionally delete any apps from Obtainium that you don't have, and add-in any missing apps).
Of course you can also just add MiXplorer and leave it at that! -
