Are XDA notifications working for this thread for you all ? I thought it was awfully quiet and just came to find three or four pages of posts I hadn't seen...

I've got the same problem. This happens especially for the MiXplorer threads. About every 6-8 weeks notifications just stop.

But, according to the speed of improvements we've seen in the last year, I think we cannot expect a quick fix...

Hello. I want to ask about autotasks. I was using x-plore to copy my files from internal storage to sd card automatically. But it does not have move or replace function. Just copy. So i want to use mix autotasks but there is one problem. For example: i want to move all files from my twitter folder to other folder. I can't say "move all files from this directory" only i can move whole folder to destination. But i want to move folder contents not whole folder. I need move files from this folder to that folder. I don't want to select which files. Just all files which i downloaded to source folder.

Tap drop down arrow in the "Files" section > navigate to folder > tap items to select.

That lacks a "select all button" which would be helpful when there are many files but it does allow the section of files within the directory without selecting the entire directory. A "select all" button might be nice as a feature request but there is probably a simple regex expression which can do this (not that I know what it is).

If the material is dynamic so pre-selected list of files is not applicable, then a regex expression to take action on all files in the directory might be exactly what you want. Regex is a big topic but that should be an easy one to find as it is probably fairly common.

Pardon a side rant about Google. It should be easy to find top level results for "regex expression to move all files" since move all describes a very specific criteria which is almost certainly the most common such command other than moving an individual file, but Google's algorithms in their infinite wisdom provide nothing but links to descriptions of more detailed matching of patterns. Hey Boogle, the pattern is "ALL". Gahhhhhhh!

Anyhooo, chances are that someone in this thread knows how to do that off the top of their head, and there is a post in the FAQ with several examples of regex expressions and links to related resources.

Hello. Although MiXplorer supports installing split APKs, its app app manager doesn't seem to allow extracting installed splits as bundles. It copies only the base.apk file. This makes the feature hardly ever useful in today's world of split apps. Can this ability be added in the future? Or am I missing something, and this is already possible?

Select an APK and tap on Backup from the menu to save it with all related files.

Included the drawable as "button_burger.png".
Now I can rest

Re-installed just now (I bought solid explorer more time ago, but I want test mix).
Isn't simple for me to edit bookmarks.
Eh, WhatsApp still ask for "use this folder".
Also, cannot found a way to make similar social folder (and if I remove I need to reset bookmark from scratch).

There is a hidden option for su arguments in MiX settings. You can try it. Export the settings and add this option in json file:

Then save > tap on it > import.
Enable Logging from the settings to check out the result.

Thanks. the backup feature works but it's not that great for quick app sharing, because it backs up everything including application data, at least when root is available. It's, however, great for what it's supposed to do. So, a quick way to extract installed apps as APKS archives would be a great addition, IMHO.

I defer to the developer regarding your questions about Whatsapp but FYI in general...

The built in bookmarks are effectively built-in searches by type and are (IIRC) proprietary to MiXplorer. Typically we cannot configure these bookmarks and to the point of your observation, if they are deleted then in order to the restore them we must restore the default bookmarks but at least that does not disrupt any of our own bookmarks (except for some aspects of their organization).

The bookmarks which we can create and recreate at will (and which we might be able to reconfigure at a later time depending on the nature of the bookmark) are the created via "adding to > bookmarks" or via one of the "add storage" methods (in bookmark drawer or in toolbar > add).

Is there a possibility to somehow recognize split APKs ? By adding some mark ? So that we know what must be backed up, not just copied.

Backup of APKs failed for me in Android 7 and is OK in Android 11. So write your ROM and details. And which API version of Mix you use.

I ask about menu because I seen WhatsApp (don't work fine), Instagram (seems ok), and twitter, but - eg - not for telegram.

No worries. Those social media bookmarks at the bottom are relatively new so I was just clarifying the difference between those and the "regular" bookmarks. If you are having trouble with one of the new ones it might help if you log it but since you have the developer's attention already then maybe wait to see what they say first.

Backup of APKs failed for me in Android 7 and is OK in Android 11. So write your ROM and details.

OK. Backup apk is failing for me on android 13. Oneplus 7T Pro crDroid 9.2. Copying apk works fine and always has.

Is there a way to get rid of the circled shortcuts in the default Files app?

I think they, along with several other shortcuts, were added by MiX. I was able to remove most but these won't go away.

Also, tapping the first shortcut crashes Files.
