YES, that is sooooo annoying!!! I too have Play Protect disabled as much as it lets me, but it still pops up sometimes when I install something from local and it drives me NUTS! Google must really think all their users are 12-year olds that have no clue what they're doing and should be persuaded to change their minds. Pisses me OFFWell... you had to do it...
Even though I have Play Protect disabled, I am regularly prompted to turn it on for my own protection, PARTICULARLY when installing apps outside the Play Store (WHICH IT HAS NO BUSINESS EVEN MONITORING WHEN DISABLED!)
I thought it was:
As you can guess from the specifications of the model where the problem occurred, it is an old cell phone that I decided to repower for the simple fact of being able to test it.I'd worry more about using a Huawei device, come to that.
"Antivirus" will flag things like having "improper" storage access as "infected" ..
Unless you see news everywhere from multiple sources stating an application that's been used by hordes of people for many, many years, is now harmful, ignore it.
Don't use anything with trackers or malvertising instead, which is very likely the bulk of your software, if you want to be safe.
Sounds better!

Regarding the apps I use, I favor using apps that are also on F-Droid, and I take the trouble to check the permissions. I use Mull Browser (a fork of Firefox with arkenfox user.js) with uBlock Origin as my main browser. Before using MiXexplorer I used Amaze on all my phones, an open source and privacy friendly application. At the beginning of this year I decided to try MiXexplorer. I have been using MiXexplorer for months now, and it is certainly a very good application to the point that it has become my main file explorer on all my mobile devices.
I thought it was important to point out that there had been an incident with an antivirus, whether it was a false positive or not, I find it important to report this kind of situation. I also wrote to Avast pointing out their mistake.
I am not interested in defending Huawei or Chinese brands, but I have always been struck by people who assume that American (or some "allied" country's) brands are somehow less harmful to privacy than Chinese brands; when, in fact, companies like Apple or Google are proven to constantly violate the privacy of their users.![]()

conundrum. This is total BS. I agree apple, google, Samsung have their own privacy issues but compared to these Chinese brands that are basically tools of the President Pooh regime to spy on its users. Plus your original post was a distress signal. You were proud of your spy phone and it's garbage avast. Read up on how anti virus programs are pretty much useless on Android devices as anything as simple as a signature change causes anti virus to trip. I'm not trying to be rude here, as I probably agree with you on 99% of issues with privacy on devices. But please for respect of developer don't post stuff like your original post unless you know what caused the anti virus to trip or proof that it is malware. It can scare new users or those less informed. As you can guess from the specifications of the model where the problem occurred, it is an old cell phone that I decided to repower for the simple fact of being able to test it.

We aren't ALL like that...Do you fill an inner emptiness when you make up and assume things about strangers on the internet?![]()
THIS IS NOT A JOKE! I just ran an "unknown app" I have on my phone and got THIS...YES, that is sooooo annoying!!! I think i was to quick. Now i have 30 recycle folders again and i don't think i even deleted any files in the meantime. When i did earlier for testing, everything showed up within the normal recycle folder. All of the 30 folders were created within 3 minutes and are all empty.
Update:
It seems like the folders get created when i use the copy to function in the share menu and copy files to my Dropbox. Have to further investigate if other cloud storage is affected as well.

conundrum.
-- It seems as of this writing that disabling the undo and recycle features might play a significant role.
It's not one of the best filemanagers, it's the best filemanager you can get on android!
A recent change has occurred in MiX that I am not personally fond of. I often have MiX operations running in the background (when I am out of MiX). When I go back into MiX while the operation is still running, the operation status window pops back up now. This is actually probably how it should be, but I prefer that window not popping up automatically, which it didn't until recently.
You can't do this directly via MiXplorer but there are apps on the playstore that can do this.
Thanks. You can enable logging from the settings > More settings.bug(?)
On the latest versions (Version: 6.64.1-BETA/6.64.0 & Silver) it is not possible to create a new text file (only .txt, other formats - no problem) in Russian localization. Confirmed by several users.
I can't attach the log, because this moment is not displayed there at all.
P.S. @HootanParsa, I hope too you're all fine and happy too.![]()

Internal storage

Home
