+1 on that siptoggle
It's a real shame that the stock dialer does not have a setting to allow incoming calls on a specific wifi only :(

I've found that the Keyguard option doesn't work for everyone. However, since you are on ICS, I have a guide that might help you. It might be a bit confusing, so please let me know if you have any issues.

Since you aren't rooted, you will be restricted to just the Pin/Password reset options. If you choose to root, you can then toggle the Pattern Lock if you desire.

It's quite difficult to follow the guide, but I think I understand what you mean... :) Anyway, it's "shocking" that keyguard option is not used there...

Firstly, great app, saved a lot of my time by not having to input pattern. I use it with Tasker to disable the pattern lock when i am at home or at work, and enable it when i'm not at the specified locations.

I also use the feature Maximum Failed Login Attempts, which was working fine until the latest update. Now i cannot get it to work! I tried everything reinstalling, clearing data...
Running on SGS2 i9100, ICS LPD, CF-rooted. Helper is installed and the device admin is enabled.
Please help.

If you're using the Pattern lock, a pattern with less than 4 points doesn't count as an attempt. Pins and passwords also have to be at least four characters to register as well.

If this doesn't help, let me know.

that was immediate! :victory:

i am using exactly 4 points. and my failed attempts that i tried were only 3, so my bad...was this always like this, that less than 4 points doesn't count as an attempt?
It works! Keep up the good work, and enjoy your hard-worked "beer" ;)

Thanks for the donation :)

Pretty sure it's been like this for a while. I became quite familiar with this behavior when I was testing this feature. Drove me a little crazy for a bit... Glad I could help.

Hi again!

Is there any way to disable slide unlock screen, while keeping password/pin/pattern lock? I mean, when you press power button, directly get password/pin/pattern unlock screen...

PD: Remember I'm on ICS Sense 4...

Desde Tapatalk...

I also have a bug relating to the pattern disable and ICS/sense 4. I am rooted and use the pattern lock option to disable the keyguard when I am connected to my wifi and the task fires when the device gets unlocked. this works fine, just like it did on my old evo. however now when I try to access an app through a notification in my notification bar, it sends me back to the lockscreen and reenables the pattern lock for all subsequent screen turn-ons, even though the secure settings re-enable icon is still in my notification bar.

it's the same type of behavior I had on gingerbread when the pattern disable task was fired before the device was unlocked, and I would press the home button.

help plzzzz

Are you using the "Keyguard" option or the "Pattern Lock" option?

The Keyguard option doesn't work consistently on all ROMs and can cause the behavior you outlined.

I believe he's asking if it's possible to enable that behavior. that is, turn off the keyguard, but keep the pattern/pin enabled. I'm fairly certain the pattern/pin is connected to the keyguard so this wouldn't be possible, but I'll let you give a definitive answer

I read it as currently he has to slide to unlock the Keyguard AND then also enter a password/pin.
I am assuming the desired effect is that of AOSP ROMs where you only have the Keyguard (slide to unlock) or the password/pin and not both.

I just upgraded my Galaxy Nexus to 4.1. Now the LTE toggle doesn't work. GPS toggle works just fine. I just wanted to report this. Thanks!

Secure Settings Helper fails to install on 4.1.... It goes through all the steps and then at the end when verifying if the service is running it fails to install.

I attempted the zip version as well, same outcome, no helper service running.

This was driving me nuts ever since I updated to ics but now I finally got it running with secure settings and the helper installed. Maybe this helps someone else:

Sgs2 on aokp based ROM, also tested with CM9:
Disable any active lock in the security settings, pattern as well as slide to unlock.
After that,I repeat after that set tasker to disable pattern lock when connected to wifi using the option in secure settings.add an exit task to enable it again when leaving wifi.

Turn Wlan off and reenable the pattern lock in the Android security settings. After this it works without any side effects like showing the pattern lock again when clicking on a notification. The standard lockscreen will not show either.

Thank you for adding the sip function, looking forward to the new version

    New feature in Version 1.1.8

With version 1.1.8, Secure Settings can be converted to a system app to get the same functionality as having the Helper installed.

If you wish to move the app to the system, you MUST first disable Device Administrator!
I cannot stress this enough. If you don't do this, the app will break and will be a pain to remove.

Once that's disabled, you can use Titanium Backup to convert the app to a system app.

    OP here.

To all having issues with the latest update:
Please bear with me. I haven't maintained the app in a while and Google was going to remove it due to a single permission that was used.

Rather than let the app be removed, I spent some time trying to get it compatible and clearly broke a bunch of stuff in the process.

I have since made some updates and released a beta and staged rollout. This version should be more functional but likely still buggy. Please opt in if you'd like to test.
