First up love the camera takes the best photos I have seen on my phone. Although I have gotten several FC on occasions but this isn't my main concern.

For my phone (Galaxy S4 Mini) Running Carbon Rom I first noticed that when running this application my phone got hot (very hot) after further investigation using - "CPU Monitor Service" - I noticed that this app was using a huge % of CPU cycles after running and even when it was not running (I was keeping my phones CPU at 1.7 GHz for both cores constantly) - even when I would exit the app. My battery life took a massive hit (I'm talking battery life of 1/3 of what it used to before installing this app).

Further testing after attempting to hibernate the app using "Greenify" showed it was still somehow able to avoid being hibernated and continued to hammer my CPU and battery. Attempts with greenify to force hibernation cased my phone to crash!

Has anyone else noticed very high CPU usage for this app or a hot phone and exceptionally high battery drain? It's definitely way higher than any other camera application that I have - and I have several - that's for sure!

I noticed the high battery drain with this app, not sure what's happening though.

The process com.lenovo.scg is taking up 99% of my battery. I feel like everytime I pull my phone from the charger I'd have to make the camera FC. Tell me this isn't true.

EDIT: I just looked into it further and found that it has a permission to start at boot. FaceDataService. Anyone know what that is for?

I found out what was happening.

It was caching my 30,000 photos into small thumbnails. At first it was caching 1,000 photos which initially killed my battery. If somehow we could turn this off that would be great.

The face detection meant it was going through my photos looking for faces (CPU ramp up) then creates files in the background (battery loss). That is why several people here has been experiencing battery loss and high CPU processes.

Hi friends, here is the Lenovo Super Camera for our Galaxy S4. It is the best custom camera app I've seen for our devices with a ton of options and you will definitely love it.

UPDATED FROM V3.5.6 TO V3.6.6.

Download:

Lenovo Super Camera v3.6.6

This is a CWM flashable zip.

PS: Panorama mode gives FC's but the rest works fine.

Keep the camera resolution at the maximum and you will see that a few effects work. The camera is not in the maximum resolution by default.

Was trying to fix panaroma these days but in vain and infact kinda busy with SOKP ;)

P.S : If you need a file with phone permissions removed, kindly PM me.
