The app gives me errors since yesterday when I'm checking if there are any updates.

I only use apkmirror, maybe it's a server side change ?

Does anybody face the same behaviour?

Only thing the app can do is scan your apps and tell you if you have the most recent app versions. The updater part of the app is broken. It needs to be updated for Google play api

I just used it, it's working. I'm using it with only apkmirror too. I download what i want to update and exchange the apk with root explorer.

The app is working. Just delete the app data and see if it works. Happened the same to me and that fixed the issue.

Try uninstalling the app, restart your phone and install the app again. It's really weird but I had the same problem before, sometimes uninstalling the app solved the problem buy sometimes it didn't. And sometimes clearing the app data fixed the problem but again, sometimes it didn't.

Last time for me uninstalling the app didn't do the trick. But clearing the app data did it.

The only issue right now is the app not getting updates from apkmirror, just from Google.

Mine is working fine and I'm getting updates from both APKMirror and Google. The APKMirror one is a bit off in terms of compatible versions but it still works overall.

Couldn't make it work with apkmirror, it shows an error. I tried uninstalling, clearing app data, etc.

BTW I found and app that does the same as apkupdater but just with Google Play updates. The app is called "App Watcher" is working fine. I'll keep using apkupdater too.

As that issue thread shows, developer responded and is aware. ( I don't use P on any of my devices yet so hadn't noticed the problem. )

I also faced this issue and below steps solved the issue.

Delete the data & cache storage, force stop the app and restart.
Things will be normal.
