I see. Having been using this app for quite some time, but recently this error just pop up out of nowhere. I has been doing the same thing to solve the error, but it just come back after awhile.
I miss rumboalla, that bug had to do with an outdated Google play api. It needs to be updated. Wish someone would adopt this project just to fix the api dependencies to the current versions.
Thanks! It still shows as version 1.5.11, FYI.I currently disabled the automatic exclude experimental tags feature for APKMirror, as it is not compatible with the api. Note that I am not experienced in building signed release apks, so the app is offered as a debug build.

I downloaded app-debug.apk but it won't install. Suggestions?I currently disabled the automatic exclude experimental tags feature for APKMirror, as it is not compatible with the api. Note that I am not experienced in building signed release apks, so the app is offered as a debug build.

Uninstall the official version first. They have different signatures, that's why you can't update it.
Should the Exclude experimental builds option be enabled or disabled then?I currently disabled the automatic exclude experimental tags feature for APKMirror, as it is not compatible with the api.
I readapted APKUpdater with new signatures as APKGrabber, so updates can be installed seamlessly. See https://github.com/hemker/apkgrabber/

Do we need to download the new apk or will the current apkupdater update itself? If we need the new apk where can the file be found? Thanks for picking this up, was a great app when it was working.
