Feature request
Ability to access /data/data/com.termux/files/home directory on nom rooted devices.

Some apps do allow this access (above is Material File left and Files for Android right)

This feature would allow the access to the .ssh in termux directly as well not forcing you to have more then one copy of the key on the device.

Love the editor simple and low on bloat.

On my OnePlus 8T, it's already there. Select Open (SAF) from the Folder icon, then select "Show hidden files" from the 3-dot menu.

Nice and that is usefull to edit configs.
Tho it still dont allow you to bookmark the locations or allow the app to be able to use the ssh directory or other files from within the app in a easy way.

You can edit yes but it is not usable in this particular use case.

Screenshot_20220605-205453.jpg

Your not able to reach the keys without having duplicates to the storage.

I can't open files on Google Drive anymore.

Every time I try the Google Drive throws an IoException. See attached screenshot.

I've got a weird bug using this. If I open a long txt document (~45,000 words) I'm not able to remove lines using the backspace button on the swiftkey keyboard. If I switch to gboard I am able to remove lines using its backspace button. This only happens on long documents like that, swiftkey can remove lines on shorter documents. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Hello, I would like to ask this question for quite a time now.

Why I cannot access files under /data/data (only the gms and the app itself are accessible) even tho I already given it root permission?

I know this is google's scoped storage feature but please do add the ability to navigate files under /data/data with root permission because I wasn't able to edit files directly on my termux home directory. And that being said, it was all accessible when I install an older version of the app, not really sure if the version was 1.8.3 or 1.8.4

I've recently switched from navigation buttons to gestures. Now I have no way to access the Open File fly-out list from the right hand side of the screen (see screenshot) because swipe is now "owned" by the navigation gesture.
Is there a way to get that feature back?

Suggestion: add an Open File option to the 3-dot menu, or (assuming this is possible) reserve a space on the RHS edge so that you can still swipe the Open File.

On my Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 6 Pro, if I press-and-hold for a moment on the edge without dragging "back", it gives me the flyout menu in just about any app I've tried it on. A quick swipe goes back; a slight hold after tapping allows me to open the menus.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that doesn't work on OOS 12 on my OnePlus 8T ☹️

Update: fly-out works in Solid Explorer. If I swipe at the bottom LHS of the screen I get my bookmarked locations. Swiping higher up on the LHS gives the back feature.

So it should be possible to implement fly-outs for QuickEdit+ with navigation gestures enabled.

You can try to use save as instead of save, then you have the opportunity to save to ftp.

It might because of system limitations. I have marked all supported mime type in my application but the email app may not use that to open the files. You can always use QuickEdit built-in file manager to open the files though.

Unable to indent multiple lines of highlighted text in v1.9.2. Had to revert to v1.9.1.

Also in v1.9.2, when text is highlighted, a pop-up context menu appears, rather than the edit function buttons (i.e. select-all, cut, copy, paste) appearing in the top-right corner.

It would be perfect if the app had the option of theme according to the system.

I will consider this in future releases. Thanks.

Here's how things look on my phone. On 1.9.1 the menu to indent text shows up on the top 3dot menu.
On 1.9.2 I get a floating menu when I select text the menu to indent text shows up on the floating 3dot menu.
The top 3dot menu shows the usual list of options.
I don't see anywhere on 1.9.2 where the indent options are greyed out.
    Screenshots attached.
    On my phone:
    Screenshot_20220918-005647.png

and the edit menu (the one which looks like a pen), appears like:

    Screenshot_20220918-005655.png

So, now you see the greyed out indent commands which are on that pen-like menu.

But anyway, as I said, forget the whole thing because floating menus are for text fields on forms, not for fully-fledged text editors, so if that's the way things are going, I'll stick with v1.9.1.

    But thanks for the replies.

    Regards,
    Jacko

    Status Update

I spent a lot of time to develop a new material designed music player in recent months, which is why QuickEdit has not been updated.
Now this music player is finished, here is the link to it in xda-developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-pulsar-music-player-t3197336
It is named Pulsar Music Player. Please download and have a try!

So I have more time to maintain QuickEdit now. There are lots of features in plan, and also some bugs. They will be released and fixed in future releases soon.:) Thanks.
