[APP][4.0.3+] QuickEdit Text Editor

New user here. This is outstanding and I'm surprised it's not better known for how mature it is.

One suggestion I have is compatibility with .org files. for org-mode. I don't expect or need it to be a fully-featured org viewer (I have Orgzly for that) but it would be handy to be able to do at least see and edit the files given it is a plain text format.

I have no problems seeing or editing .org files using QE+.

Okay so after further investigation - if I select an .org file in a file explorer then I can open and interact with it using QE without issue. It is also remembered in the Recent Files sidebar option (albeit with no file icon).

However, in my case - QE's explorer does not display the same file within its own explorer. This applies to both local and cloud based files, and also .org files I create from within QE.

Any ideas of what else I could try if this bug is localised to myself? (Using MIUI 13.0.7 on an M11 Lite 5G fwiw).

Turn off the filter and then you'll see them - ninex.org is listed in the screenshot.

Or upgrade to QuickEdit+

Ah of course! Thank you for your patience, that was silly of me...

Not sure I understand why QE classifies .orgs as non text files but all good now.

At the beginning of each line, these characters *. be inserted. I can't do this with Quickedit Pro. I can do that under Linux with sed. But I don't have Linux to hand at the moment.

Why does the regular expression ^.+$ not find anything (file is not zero size, there is more than one line, regular expression search is on)? How can I get regexp to look for the beginning and end of a string correctly?

QuickEdit Pro had helped me a lot with the regex search and replace. The list of previously used search strings is great. But when one has searched tens of times, it is difficult to guess which string to use. Please provide a facility to edit past used search strings.

When I change the search string, the default is to search forward from current location. So, I often got No Match because the cursor was at the end of the file.

Please place the cursor at the top, so that I don't have to place the cursor at the top...

Add feature to execute scripts using ssh.
Eg. Using Termux app. In termux we enable ssh and then on quick edit while writing shell scripts we can run them on ssh termux emvironment and view its output. also copy paste command and output

Could you check the wrap around checkbox which will search whole document no matter where the cursor is.

If i remember, correctlly, QuickEdit used to support Ligature, but why it removed?
