I have tried several different settings, but I don't manage to create a file with the CRLF newline encoding, so if I create a .txt file on the phone I can't see on Windows the newlines in the correct way...
Does anyone know if there is a way to do so?
(Great app anyway! :D )

I am truly amazed an app such well designed, thought through and full-featured as this one exists here on XDA. A true gem of open source software and testimony to the quality of community gathered around this site. A huge thank you for putting in the hours and sharing this editor with us!

Just started using and seems like a great app. Open last viewed file at startup doesn't work. I get No content provider: /storage/emulated/0. Guessing it's because it's on my SD card even though I've granted root access. I can open the file fine manually though. Also would love a temporary toggle for read only mode on the "..." menu. Mostly I like to just read without having the keyboard pop up but occasionally I want to edit. Finally a theme with dim yellow background and brown text would be nice but I'm happy even without. Thank you!

One more thing... it would be nice if the recently opened list was sorted by how recently the file was opened (i.e. most recently opened at the top), or at least an option to sort that way. It's not even clear to me how it does sort currently. :)

Any chance of a new version anytime soon? Looks like it's been a while. :)

Bug Report Keyboard

Sometimes when I tap on the ?123 icon on the keyboard
(Gboard English USA) it switches back to the normal layout. this can get a little annoying.

Vlad,

Have you abandoned us? The last post I see from you was on July 24th, 2015 and a few problems have been reported since then.

I wrote you before I purchased the app and I was assured this was a viable project - then, nothing.

Please let us know the project's status. If it's no longer being updated on Google Play, I'd like to know, as I'm sure others would as well.

Thanks.

I think this project is stopped, although it still works on Pie. I installed MiXplorer, and it has a code editor and text editor, both are separate, and both are good, already uninstalled Turbo Editor which I had a problem with, but forgot what it was.

I switched to MiXplorer myself, and I love it! It seems to be based on Android's SAF, so I'm hoping it survives the 'Q' debacle! I've also been using QuickEdit Pro for a couple years and, it is impressive as well.

Thanks!

Storage Framework file corruption on save

After upgrade to Android 10 or Turbo Editor itself I have the following issue:
Every time I edit a file in Termux app using "Storage Access Framework" file gets corrupted by appending some random lines to the end. I think this is happening more when I remove some lines from the file then similar amount of (random) lines are appended to the end of the file.
It was working perfectly fine for long time before Android upgrade.

I tried to create an issue on GitHub but have not enabled them there.

Hello there, a new version is ready. It has a new great feature.... The support of Very Big Files!! :D:D Big files are now treated as a list of pages, a sort of book.

When you open a small file you shouldn't notice any difference but when you open a big file two buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen.
One is used to navigate to the previous page, one to navigate to the next one. If you long click one of those a popup will appear asking you what page you want to view.

IT'S STILL VERY EXPERIMENTAL, but I hope to publish this version relatively soon. Please test it and let me know if it works good :)

A new version 1.13.1 is available. There are manly bugfixes. It should also fix the bug with the search function that doesn't highlight the results. :)
