I would give it 5 stars and will buy / upgrade to the pro version if you can solve a problem for me: I have several playlists each one with lots of songs but your player doesn't remember the song or position of the last play of each of them, it only remembers it in the queue reproduction.
I would like each playlist to act as a separate play queue, 5 stars and will buy the version if they add this feature.

So I've got one bug, and one request.

Bug: When you are on the song screen, then tap on "Artist" from the top right menu, then tap on another song by the artist, the artwork is incorrect. Tapping the back button, then tapping on the now playing section at the bottom brings up the correct artwork. I have attached a video to show what I mean:

Request: On the Artist page, it shows all the albums that artist has, and it takes up a ton of room and is annoying to have to scroll down to to the song section. It would be nice to be able to be able to to toggle that on and off in settings.

Hey. Huge fan of your app; I tell everybody about it. Thanks so much for your work.

I have the pro client on my Pixel 4a and the Pulsar GUI seems to be entering the status bar on my phone when in the app, so the hamburger menu button is half covered by my phone's front facing camera and the triple dot button on the right is up into the battery icon etc.

Is there a setting I may have missed to lower the top-most interface stuff on older phones?

All good if not, still in love with pulsar and happy to support you, I'm just wondering. Thanks again :)

Your program is very good and I have 2 suggestions to improve it even more.
1- Add an option to close the program permanently, so that it doesn't stay in the background;
2- Add an option so that it does not run automatically if it is closed and is not in the background, when the "Bluetooth autoplay" option is activated, so that this function works only when the program is open or running in the background.

I like this "Bluetooth autoplay" function, and I use it a lot in the car, but it gets in the way when I want to use the headphone/headset bluetooth with other applications, because the program opens by itself when this option is activated .

The old program " Mort Player " has these 2 functions that I mentioned as a suggestion. The problem with the Mort Player is that it is very old and is much harder to handle.

Edit.. I was testing it tonight and I came to a conclusion that putting a button to close completely so that it doesn't stay in backgound will solve the auto play problem. I discovered this when I had to close the program through the android menu that manages the programs. I think the 1st option I mentioned will solve this in a simple way.

Love this app except it does not seem to recognize Sonos or other non-chromecast devices. I know it's possible as the rival Hi-Cast player can find these devices without any issue. I just like Pulsar better overall so would definitely go pro if this is solved!

Sometimes the app doesn't play music when starting new track. It goes to the next track, slider looks like its playing, then it stops, then it goes again and after few seconds the music finally starts.

In the hope app is not dead and instead soon we will have good news,
I share with you an issue I encountered: scrollbar jumps during scroll
Here is a screencast (video) of the problem.

Why does my queue clear when I disconnect from a playback device or switch audio source?

To provide examples:

Before driving home, I connect my phone to Android Auto and queue up 10 songs using the "play next" button. Half way home I stop for gas which of course involves turning off my car. Then when I reconnect to Android Auto my queue is cleared. What gives?

I connect to my Bluetooth headphones, queue up some songs, but when I get to the gym I notice that the equipment I want is occupied. No worries, I'll watch a YouTube video while I wait. Then when I resume my music my queue is cleared. WHY?

I connect to my Bluetooth headphones to listen to music while I clean my apartment, and naturally I have a handful of songs queued up. Then somebody calls me and I talk to them for a bit. Then when I resume my music MY QUEUE IS CLEARED. WTF?

This doesn't seem to happen to 3.5mm or USB-C headphones, but mainly with Android Auto or Bluetooth.

I've used this app for years and it's always been an issue. So I don't think it's unique to a specific version. I've had two phones since downloading Pulsar+. A Samsung S9+ and an S20+ 5G.
And I am using Pulsar+, not the free Pulsar(no plus).

Hi, it would be great to have album art thumbnails on folder view or play list view. I rely on those cues to remember which song is which without having to play it first.

Hey there, I have a bug to report (though it was probably already mentioned), the app seems to have problems with certain French characters. It translates them to random symbols, but if you go to “Edit Tags”, they're look normal, deleting, adding them again and saving does nothing. Also, I can't download artwork from Internet in the app. Love the app otherwise.

album art are not recognized, if your song use is own album art cover pulse only use a random cover it find on the same album. Example: Various Artist album every song with is proper cover, Pulsar only show the first cover it match from the album, and use it for every song inside it. Probably beacause Android MediaStore in bugged and it use only the first artwork it encounter on the folder thinking is an entire album of the same artist. It's ironic listen a Gun's&Roses song and see Adele face in the lockscreeen :).
Can you add an option to force use the embedded artwork in settings? Would be nice and others players cand do it without issue because they force the embedded artwork instead of Android media database .
Is a great player, easy, light and with nice look and it works perfectly with Viper4Android even if sometimes I need to reopen Viper to get it working.
I also have many problems with album covers. Every folder in my library has a Folder.jpg, but these are often ignored. I too would like to see an option to force Pulsar+ to simply use the artwork when provided, and only resort to an external search when artwork isn't available.

Also, when editing the tags for an album or artist and attempting to set the artwork, there are only three options:

Google search
Choose from gallery
Download from the internet

Music files are excluded from (and cannot be added to) my image viewer so I cannot "Choose from gallery." I would like another option to directly search the artist folder -- or else provide a way to explicitly set the file search program so that I can then navigate to the appropriate folder and select the cover art.

Could you at least add an option in the settings where we can change it to our liking? (i.e. shuffle remains on regardless and won't turn off if we manually select a song) I thought this was common across all music players.

I play music through all of my songs and leave it on shuffle for all of them. The shuffle turns off even if i choose a song that is in the same queue. It would just be better if the shuffle button stays on regardless once it is turned on. Basically the same as the repeat button as that button doesnt turn off once it is pressed.

+1 with the shuffle button getting turned off. I launch the player, turn shuffle on, exit, launch it again and it's off. Not supposed to be that way.

Sent from my SM-T110 using XDA Labs

The new keep shuffle mode is enabled in latest version 1.4.0. Please upgrade and have a try. If there is any problem, please leave your comments here. Thanks.
I know. I really like the player, even without the EQ the sound is nice but in the past I bought a music player for almost the same price and 8 month later the support and the development was dropped. Today this player is unusable.

I keep the player on my phone.

I spent tons of time to develop this player. I think it should not be dropped.:fingers-crossed:
