This is ROM Settings Backup, a tool for saving your ROM settings and restoring them after flashing (similar) ROMs and/or wiping /data.
You put really much time in setting up your StatusBar, NavigationBar, Lockscreen, Privacy, etc and want to make a clean flash of your personal ROM? No problem, just do a backup of all your settings and restore them after flashing.

CAUTION: This app only works with AOSP based ROMs!

You want to translate this app into your language? Download the strings.txt, translate it and upload it to me. Thanks :)

Please give a short feedback, thanks!

OK...so far so good...Im on CyanogenModX for note2 (n7100) The app works ok...but I think maybe you can add an option to save or restore config per rom....like CM11, AOSPA, CarbonRom, C-ROM, MIUI....etc...cuz not all the roms have all the options...if you can make an option to name the backup...so If I want to make a CM11 backup....I can named CM11backup.....

Thnaks in advance.

It's pretty hard to get the current running ROM name, but I can add an option to type in the name of the rom. I think this is a good possibility, isn't it?

ROMs typically are using the same flags for settings, so if you import for example CM Settings to AOSPA the settings for the same features are being taken over to AOSPA. Those features which are on AOSPA but not on CM are just stock (the stock values are being taken).
And the third scenario: Feature which are present on CM but not on AOSPA are saved but will not be touched or anything else. So there should not be any issues..

But that's just my sight, can vary somehow.

@Cocolopes
I tried to restore the backup I made on my Nexus4 (MahdiROM running) to my SGS(CM11 running)... all the settings have been overtaken, no issues so far.

Do you by chance have source for this anywhere? I'd like to see if I can tailor it around a specific ROM, with all due credits of course

    Short status update (theoretically)

    I checked this "advanced options" stuff some users requested here to choose which stuff should be restored.
    I think it's possible and realistic to integrate (regarding my time resources)
    I'll start developing on this massive feature tomorrow and will hold you up-to-date here!

    Cheers
