I tried to port it from my old phone (HTC U20 G5) to my new Pixel 7 Pro, I'd buyed the App in the past and downloaded several Skins for Weather and Clock. But if I try to select other Skins (which I'd copied into the folders /android/data/fancywidgets/...) they won't be selectable, there is just the standard skin avaiable.
If I try to install the unlocker as .apk, I get the error message, that this app semms to be not compatible with this phone. But the installed Fancy Widgets 4.0.8 Version itself is working. What can I try to get it working under Android 13?

Hello! In Android 13 is there a folder (/android/data/fancywidgets/)? Have the other skins been deleted? Do you need the unlocker? For the unlocker, I think you can't do anything because it's an old version and it's no longer available in the play store...
I already have found the unlocker as an .apk, but it can't be startet -I think it's an 32Bit App, but Pixel 7 (pro) is just processing 64Bit now.
The named folder (/android/data/fancywidgets/) exists, and I copied all my skins into it. But if the app isn't unlocked, it won't have a look into it.
So just the one standard-Skin is available in the list.If the is a way to make a 32Bit apk into a 64Bit apk?

I am experiencing same problem Fancywidgets weather stopped updating 4 days ago???
I love this app. I will pay if an app developer will take it over and fix it. It is THE BEST widget on Android.

Same problem here, it stopped working the last Thursday. I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling, even at different smartphones and isn't working. I have also changed the weather forecast provider and it isn't working.
Hope it will be fixed soon, it's a great weather app!

I aam hoping an app developer would take this app over and fix it. It used to be amazing with all the skins and custom settings. In recent years it lost the other skins but still functioned.
It was and still is the BEST designed widget I have ever used.

If anyone has a solution, please post it. I've tried everything I can think of.

I just tried "Transparent Clock and Weather" from MACHAPP Software Ltd on Google Play.
It's not Fancywidgets but it's better than the other HTC Flip clock widgets because it can be made transparent like Fancywidgets.
Pain to use but will have to do until I find a APP Developer to bring back Fancywidgets.

the fancy widget application is the only one that has animation weather
like htc weather in the sense ui 3" 4 version.

Hi, I found the problem although for obvious reasons I prefer to be discreet about the solution. I am attaching all three versions, in which sunrise/sunset is updated correctly.
v4.0.8 allows you to save the configuration (create a file fwsettings.bak in the path sdcard/android/fancywidgets). And restore it, of course. You can also put skins in the clockskins and weatherskins folders within the same path. It does not allow animations when unlocking. Download as (attached) .zip file.
v4.0.7 allows animations when unlocking the screen,but does not allow using the path sdcard/android/fancywidgets (as in version 4.0.8) for save config and put skins. Update: now works the same as version 4.0.8.
v3.5.6 is an older version that I have tested on an old Samsung Note 4 running Android 6.0.1 and everything works too.
Remind everyone once again that you have to run the app BEFORE creating the first widget, providing all the necessary permissions. And, very important, put Fancy Widgets on the list of apps not optimized for battery use.
Also say that Fancy Widgets needs the Location service activated to obtain the LatLon coordinates and, from there, all the data. Supposedly, it could also work without Location active (getting coordinates via cell antennas and/or WIFI and others) but it doesn't always work.1
Wow I'm so so happy 4.0.7 unlock animation is working perfectly you are the man.... And remember I'm running android 13 with one U.I. 5.11My fancy widgets does not update when I unlock the phone or after 15 minutes as I have it set up. I downloaded version 4.0.8 from post #85. from this site
I leave screenshots for you to tell me that I have to modify the settings so that it updates itself and not when I open it and press update.
As this app did until February 2023.
I only use the 2x1 widget

Good news! I found a working AccuWeather account and fixed the app. You can find details on the {Mod edit: Link removed. Oswald Boelcke}. At this moment we fixed Fancy Widgets v4.0.7, v3.5.6 and FancySense 2.5.

ATTENTION, we noticed virustotal false(?) report, caused by APK Edit PRO. I'm checking information.6Attached version 4.0.8 modified using the @&Delinquent[$] provider. This version has animations and allows to adjust the widget to the screen with more precision. And it works on Android 12 (I think Android 13 too).
Remenber to add Fancy Widgets to the list of apps that should not be optimized to avoid that the app (also the time) stop updating.

We still got the clock, but it is the weather that makes it complete. I have tried contacting the developer via email, but there is no response. We need this app. I got it for free, but I will gladly pay for it. We need to get through to the developer. He can't just abandon such a great project. My android will never look the same without Fancy Widgets. What can we do?
