bug: when i try to choose a file for an app using simple explorer, it does not send the file link to the app. instead it will try to open the file as it does when opening the file directly via simple explorer. e.g. when selecting a zip file for zipinstaller, simple explorer gives the option to extract it. or when choosing a keepass database for keepassdroid simple explorer brings up the app picker.

Thanks for the bug fixes :) but it looks like I was a little misunderstood with the first bug I posted. Install this version of Zipinstaller:

http://goo.im/devs/beerbong/apps/ZipInstaller/ZipInstaller-3.3.7.apk

It's an app that installs zips through recovery. When opened select the "Add zip/sh to list" option.
Select Simple Explorer if u have another file explorer installed. Then try to select a zip file. It doesn't send the file link to Zipinstaller. It works with OI File Manager from the play store.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.openintents.filemanager

Other apps that use this feature like Zipinstaller.

KeePassDroid

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.keepass

Keepass2Android

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=keepass2android.keepass2android

Cryptonite

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=csh.cryptonite

Also you should add an "About" opition where you have your "App Manager" & "Settings" options after pressing the 3 dot menu button. That when pressed it will show your name, version number, a link to this thread and a link to the source.

I wish i could code java now to help out more :( planning to learn it in the future.

I think its not a bug because this feature is not implented but i will add it. Instead of an "About" option i added a link to this forum in preferences.

Thanks dude for this..
I was stuck with a ASOP rom with no file manager and as the touch screen has a large chunk not working I have wiped the internals of it and sending it off for repair. but as its a 3rd party repair shop here in China there is no way i was going to send it out with my Google account details in it..
So since yours is at the top of the list and is a direct download..
I thank you very much..

Sorry but for me everything works fine. Plesse reinstall app and test again.

I did a reinstall & i still get the "Unfortunately, Simple Explorer has stopped." message. After that Simple Explorer just restarts. Also, I checked the "savedApps" directory and the apps that are saved do get deleted. Looks like this happens right after deleting.

do you want me to translate everything inside of the .xml file or just the words inside

<string name="INSIDE HERE">INSIDE HERE</string>

Sorry ive never edited an xml file before but if you could tell me what to translate i can do it :)

Yeah, why not. You only need to open xml file and replace the english with spanish words and upload file. Then i will add it in next Version. :)
