Weird... Didn't have these issues with the test devices.. Can you get me a logcat?
Do I need root to get you a log?

Sorry, haven't rooted the phone yet. All rooting options require I completely reset the phone and I don't have time with two lil one's (one 2 1/2 and the other 1) to go through seeing the phone up again.

I'll see what I can do.

Sorry, I was referring to catlog.

I'll look into adb later.

Perfectly acceptable

As Commandr nears 200,000 downloads and the hours of time spent on developing it increases as well, I have been thinking about the possibility of monetizing Commandr. Now before everybody gets scared, Commandr is open source so I will not limit any features or build a pro version. Commandr will continue to be free, but I am wondering the best way to earn some money to help pay for college without being too obtrusive... Let me know your guys thoughts, the prime purpose of Commandr will remain to build an awesome app that people will use so the last thing I want to do is make people uninstall it...

Options:
1. Small banner ad on the bottom of the app. No ads while actually using Commandr and only in the configuration screen.
2. Same as above, but have an option to turn it off
3. Allow for donations via an in-app purchase with no incentive
4. Allow for donations where users that donate get more "voting power" (ie when they vote for a new command, they get 1000 * ($s donated) votes
5. Have a combination of the above

Right now I'm thinking of starting with 4 and then adding 2 if nobody donates, what do you guys think of this?

All of the above would be just fine. Commandr is a terrific app, and your commitment to open source is very good, it's worth some ads and a donation. Keep up the good work.

Cool stuff. The camera commands also run great but seem to look really bad compared to the ones that I take on my phone using the camera app. Is there a way to fix the resolution for the camera option that is initiated via this app?

It should be taking photos at full resolution, but can you send me two samples of the same picture, one taken with the app and one taken with the camera so I can compare them?

First 1 is from your app and second is the regular camera app on phone. The second one is more crisp whereas the first one is very blurry

Hi, could someone care to tell me what's the difference between "Open Mic+ for Google Now" and "Commandr for Google Now"? They are both developed by RSenG2x and seem to perform similar functionality. thx

Open mic gives an always listening feature to google now. Where as commandr adds commands to google now. Both work with google now but are very different.

Oneplus one and I was holding the phone the same way.

Ok makes sense. There is an issue I have with that phone right now. I have a potential fix that will be included in the next release.

Yeah just to further the explanation, Open Mic+ helped fill the hole before Google Now released the update which allows you to say "Okay Google" from any screen. But even after Google Search updated it still allows you to have finer control of when you want it to listen for the hotphrase, allows you to customize the hotphrase to wake up Google Now, supports other wakeup methods like waving or shaking, and provides direct access to Tasker so you don't have to first say Okay Google and then the Tasker command. Furthermore, Open Mic+ helps support all the devices that will not be receiving the Google Search update (international users and users with older devices).

Quick update on progress on removing requirement of "note to self" for root uses...

This was implemented successfully using MohammadAG's Google Now API, but unfortunately it seems that this api has many bugs and has to be updated for the new version of Google Search. As soon as this is updated (he is on vacation right now), I will add this functionality :) For now, rolling back changes...
