I faced similar issue it even messed up my phone, the incoming caller could not hear my voice, sadly had to uninstall this otherwise excellent app. Hope the developer can improve on this bug.I love open mic+, but it keeps turning off. I would like to have open mic+ come on at boot, and stay on.
Anyone else having this problem? I see open mic+ in my notifications when I start it, but then the microphone turns off.
Any help is appreciated!
This is a notification that your application, Open Mic+ for Google Now, with package ID com.RSen.OpenMic.Pheonix, is currently in violation of our developer terms.
REASON FOR WARNING: Violation of the Personal and Confidential Information provision of the Developer Distribution Agreement:
We have received a complaint from the Speech team that you are using an excessive amount of traffic. They are requesting that you take measures to substantially improve the efficiency in which you are directing traffic to the Speech service. Further - and more importantly, your app indicates that the Mic+ voice recognition engine utilizes offline voice recognition which is not the case. This is a suspendable violation. Please immediately modify your description to remove this claim. Within 14 days, please also modify your app to substantially reduce the traffic to Speech servers and move to a user initiated transactional model where audible data is not sent off the device without explicit user consent and action. If you are unable to make these modifications, please unpublish your app until you are able to make these changes.
Your application will be removed if you do not make modifications to bring it into compliance within the two stated deadlines above (immediate for description correction, 14 days for revision of the app). If you have additional applications in your catalog, please also review them for compliance.
So today I received this nice email...
Apparently Google doesn't have enough money to support their own servers? The reason I don't use the Google engine offline is because they don't freakin give me an option to (it will only go offline when there is no network connection)!
Anyways in terms of the future of this project, this means that within the next few days I will be working on disabling the Google Speech Engine. PocketSphinx will continue to be supported and in the future, I will be pushing more updates to try to make it easier to use... This also means that Tasker commands will no longer work through Open Mic+... I know a way around this, but it will take some significant time to implement which I don't have right now because of school/college apps. In the mean time please use my other app Commandr https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.RSen.Commandr
Of course if you want to keep using Google engine, there is no way to force you to update the app But I am confident that I can make PocketSphinx good enough that the Google engine won't be necessary any longer...
