UPDATE OCT 20: From the feedback below it looks like support the gesture SDK didn't make it to the S4's 4.3 update.. so... this version of the app will crash on your phone.. WTF Samsung?!

I updated Wave Control based on the Note 3. In theory, with the 4.3 update on the S4 it should work too.

Would anyone with a Samsung 4.3 ROM like to try this out?

Things I'm wondering:
Does the "Hover" gesture still work?
Are the Left/Right/Up/Down working and oriented correctly?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Adding in YouTube video of what you should expect. Only thing is in the version posted here the sensor setup page doesn't show the directions but the main app does.
I'm hoping the new leaked version, supposedly really close to final will have the support for the Gesture SDK...

Ah interesting. It should only error out like that if the gesture sdk support isn't there. Are you on an early leak or a more recent one?

They're supposed to support this in 4.3 on the S4 but I wonder (hope) maybe earlier versions don't have it implemented yet.

Thanks for testing it.

Im on leaked 4.3

Ah, but you don't make it to the screen in my screenshot in the first post right?

Damn, that points to the gesture support not being there. I forgot to update that sensor setup intro to use the gesture sensor.. so it's still only using the proximity sensor at that stage. When you press finish it's loading the main app where it will attempt to use the gesture sensor.

Hmm...

I'm on the latest 4.3 leak and the setup works fine with all the gestures but it freezes when I press finish.

Added to original post at YouTube video showing how it works on the Note 3.

Anyone try out the latest leak that's supposed to be really close to final?

Crossing my fingers that it includes support for the Gesture SDK... please please please

Is air gesture actually supported?

I've been trying to get this air gesture thing to work for a while. On my Galaxy S4, I tried your gesture version of wave control that you made for the Note 3 and the app crashes right from the start. You're saying that you think the Gesture SDK isn't included, right? I came across an app that supposedly does support air gestures, so maybe it is actually supported and the Note 3 gesture version of your app is incompatible with the S4 for a different reason?

The app that seems to have included air gesture is "Smart IR Remote." Check out this point in their demo video:

(youtube) watch?v=Kx61muXdkfY&t=0m57s

I'm not sure if it's actually using the directional air gestures or the regular old proximity sensor. Here is that app on google play:

(google play) store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy&hl=en

Does this mean that maybe the Gesture SDK is included on the GS4?

Thanks!

Compatibility with new Verizon GS4 NC5 KitKat update

Has anybody tried this app on the new KitKat NC5 update on the Verizon S4? I've always hoped that it might somehow include the gesture SDK or whatever is missing. It would be awesome if somebody could give that a try and post their results here. I would flash the rooted NC5 as per these instructions:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2726868

and then just test it myself, but I'm waiting on a replacement SD card for now and don't want to try it without one.
