Does anyone else have problems recording voice calls on LINE? For some reason, it usually doesn't record audio of my LINE conversations. Even though it says it's recording, the time will be stuck and not move. And even when I end the LINE call and start a call on another app, the recording still won't resume. I haven't been able to figure it out. I think only like 2 out of 10 times will this app record my LINE conversations.

Hello, does this app still works? When i click grant root access it says: [-2]cannot get root access. You should root your phone at first... i already granted permission to magisk when first time clicked that button, now when i click that same button every time, it just be that loading circle, then that message pops up. Using rooted LG H930 android 8.0 with hiden latest magisk 24.1 with Zygisk on (mentioning this as from very recently using that new version of magisk and Zygisk thing in case if that affects in this app to not work, as i see for this guy on yt working grant magisk for this app):

Such a shame, this app is only one i ever found that can record discord vc without using Craig bot(which everyone on yt use that for recording on android), or not just for discord, but in general one and only app of its kind to enable you to record any VoIP on any app on phone(compared to ACR cube app or similar ones, which are limited to recording just in popular apps), developer just need to make this app works on newest magisk 24.1, it's frustrating that i have app on my lg v30 android 8.0 and can't use it cause it says like my device isn't rooted, when i actually granted permission in magisk and all, if there's way to just make it works or any other app or solution, can't get in contact with developer at all...

Perhaps @boldbeast would be willing to make it open source so that the community can continue maintaining it if he is no longer interested?

I tried contacting him on both here and dm of xda, and his support mail with sending log file from app, but no answers

That would be awesome! If he agrees to it, I would certainly be interested in trying to add compatibility, although I don't know if I'd be able to pull it off.

I will try to use older version of magisk as i really wish to have this app works, and i see that new versions of magisk are kinda worse, less supporting apps which works on previous versions, i don't see much benefits of having newer versions of magisk when i think about it. Hope downgrading it won't cause any issue with my root

I don't know why, but i still getting same error when i try to grant root access to voip recorder even with magisk version 21.4, as for this guy from yt worked with that version of magisk (you can clearly see version on 2:48):

i wasn't wiping phone or hard reseting it (i want to try avoid that whole process if possible, but i have full backup of phone on pc just in case), but was doing full uninstall option from magisk app itself, then was through usb and command window on pc rebooting bootloader and flashing twrp recovery again, in which was entering later on to flash zip file of magisk 21.4, but still no use. I don't know if it doesn't work because i need to try even more old versions of magisk, or because i'm forced to wiping out whole phone if something remained in system that indicates other apps on new version of magisk even if i fully uninstalled it and flashed old ones through twrp. It would be useful if someone knows what is last version of magisk that voip recorder support, or any other solution to this(android 8 lg h930ds)


Update: i FINALLY managed to make app actually works, i was using this site, downloading all versions of xapk through lucky patcher, and found out that latest version that works with my device is 1.7 (all tried on magisk 20.4, but now i realising that maybe isn't about magisk version, but actually about app version, for some reason 1.7 works while newer versions of app doesn't), now will trying same version of app on newer versions of magisk, this is site: https://apkpure.com/voip-recorder-screen-recorder/com.boldbeast.voiprecorder/versions

Lg H930DS with stock EU version of software, android 8.0
So far by using this app i'm very satisfied and happy how good this app is, it's underrated in my opinion, i was doing some tests, and in same recording can capture all sound no matter if played media sound or phone call sound from any app, no matter if switching between earpiece, speakers and headphones, and all combinations between them, app capture literally everything(didn't try yet with sound off of media, while smallest sound for phone call capture and make loud actually), those people who complaining about this app can try find anything else that can capture, which is impossible(talking about phone devices, don't compare with pc/laptop), that is not app cube acr, as that one capture just sound from popular apps like whatsapp, fb messenger etc, but can't from ANY app, like this one which helpped me capture for discord vc, zoom and skype meeting without need to use their recording feature which notify others that is someone recording.
Getting back on magisk 20.4 is best thing i could do, some other apps now works that didn't with new version of magisk(like es file explorer pro root explorer option), hope this helps

Edit: my only complainment is for developer making app not works for some reason with newer versions of it(as i'm using 1.7) on my same device with same android version, and same magisk version, if i would try to download 1.9, 2.0, 2.2 , they don't work
Also if developer left this project, maybe to make it open source pls @boldbeast ?

In case any devs are watching this and would be interested in trying to make audio recording work more generally with all recording apps, I am struggling to write an Xposed module to bypass the restrictions. Maybe doesn't support android 12, or maybe to try download 1.7 version of app, as in my case that older version worked while new one didn't (i got it from apkpure site)
