Brining this thread back to life...

CCSWE App Manager is still alive and in active development but I have had some license issues with Samsung. Here's some details I posted in another thread:

- The Knox license was revoked by Samsung for a second time in September.
- When Samsung terminates a license they terminate the entire partner account.
- A partner account requires some level of validation from Samsung in order to get approved.
- The first time my license was revoked I was not prepared AND was in the hospital for 76 days. Therefore it took quite a long time to resolve the issue.
- As some of you may have seen when Samsung revokes my license I update the application with a call to action for users to attempt creating a partner account and donate it to me.
- This second time the license was revoked I already had multiple users who told me they were applying for a partner account or had already been approved. That plus the fact I was available to work on the problem made it much quicker to resolve.
- Since I already had to create a new application in the Play Store I switched to a paid only model. I did so because Package Disabler Pro has not had it's license revoked during the two times mine has been (even though I know Samsung is aware of it) and the only real difference is that mine was free. This wasn't the route I wanted to go but I also don't want to be going through licenses so quickly as they are not easy to come by.
- My refund policy is generous but users do need to email me with the information. The next release (6.1.0) will clearly spell out my refund policy when you first launch the application.

Latest working versions are at CCSWE App Manager (Root) and CCSWE App Manager (Samsung).

As always you can contact me at [email protected] if you have additional questions..
Since you have brought this thread back to life, I definitely expected, after downloading the latest CCSWE update and finding it no longer functions after purchasing it only about 2 weeks ago, to find an explanation from you as to when this will be fixed and such, so you could avoid another swarm of negative feedback on the Play Store, but the silence is deafening. At least you made some updates to the non-functional app.

There was another version in the links listed until today. Unfortunately Samsung terminated both my and Package Disabler Pro's licenses today (maybe a little sooner for PDP)... Who knows when I'll be able to fix it. The core issue is that a Samsung Partner Account is required to generate Knox licenses and a Partner account require some level of verification of the business that is applying. As far as the updates go they were a work in progress when the license got terminated and I needed to push an update to handle the license termination gracefully *shrug*

At this point I've learned to ignore the negative feedback. I provide this application because I enjoy doing so. If I let the negative reviews (on an unpublished application) from user's that do not, and have no desire to, understand the inner workings of the issue I'd go nuts.

CCSWE had been working if you selected "ignore" when starting it up, but today it is asking me to activate the Knox license, then gives an error and asks again for the knots license to be activated.

Is there any update on when this issue could be resolved? I seriously need to use this app, I suddenly find I have apps running that had been disabled and somehow apps that I was using are now disabled.

The issue can't be resolved in that version as Samsung revoked the license and a license is tied to a specific package.

Is it possible to setup a paid pro key as a separate app, then make CCSWE free? That way users won't have to pay each time Samsung kills your license, and a new version with a new license would reference the pro key to function. Titanium Backup does this, and it seems to work well. This would also resolve the volume of refunds you process.

I was actually setup like this to begin with. I know Samsung is familiar with Package Disabler Pro (and has been for much longer than me since they were around first) yet they had a version remain in the Play Store through multiple license revocations of mine. I believed this was due to the fact that my application was free (ad supported) and thus Samsung had a lower barrier to entry in order to download and validate the license violations. This last round however was a paid application and Package Disabler Pro was also revoked.

In any case I am trying to come up with an alternative licensing/delivery method that should be more "fair" to everyone involved (both me and my customers) regarding new versions after license revocation.

That being said, free lifetime versions to anyone who donates a Samsung Partner account to the cause :D

Thnx for the new app uploaded. What is the new method?.. If there is one.
I see there is an app manager @£2.29 then another 89p payment for the actual app, a little surprise with no warning. I hope this method is a little more fair considering the price increase.

me too. I open a case with google playstore support. It's unfair to buy again the app.

So, if samsung revokes your license again do we have to buy your app forever and ever? really funny

I have no control over Samsung but am doing what I can to protect the license and provide a fair option to everyone involved. I could just abandon the project entirely but instead I continue to invest in keeping the app functional. All other options appear to just be giving up *shrug*
