Always wanted to ask: whats difference between desktop (thinking Linux) Chromium and Chromium SWE or this app?
Any Chromium, including desktop build, is 3rd party Chrome app, tight?
So why I can sync account on Linux's Chromium, and cannot do it with Android one?

Not officially.
Earlier this year, Google made some major changes to Chromium and the LineageOS devs made a major restructure from Gello browser to Jelly.
As Pyrope was based on Gello/Chromium it is entirely possible that Pyrope browser requires a complete re-write, as opposed to just tweaks.
In May the Dev was taking exams and vacation in July. In August he mentioned these changes and hinting at work on Chrome60 and analysing the changes to Jelly browser
That's a mere 4 months ago for a busy young dev working for free in his spare time.
It's possible the project may be stalled, but I'm sure if that if it is ever abandoned we will be informed.

A bit of an exaggeration, but yes there has been no specific update for a while, the last we heard was August last year about possible work on a new version rebased on Chromium60 here
But for now, I think we can assume the current version will receive no more updates.

I really like this browser so much, i think it's time to move on.

It's a pitty that pyrope is outdated. Moved on to brave browser but am missing the night mode badly

Help with the playback option

So Im running the latest version of Pyrope I believe which is 42.0.2311.4385 and theres no Youtube playback option in settings. Did this get changed or Im I running an outoutdated version. Thank you

Don't know about night mode, but I use https://www.bromite.org/ Bromite now that Pyrope is dead for quite some time now.
I tested Brave too, but did not like it.

Hi! Long time no write. I know, Bromite has a different concept overall. The dev of Bromite does not want to add too much features.
Since Pyrope is discontinued I use a mix of DuckDuckGo Browser, Bromite and Via Browser.
