True, but I'm sure we'll see something in a few weeks.
The dev is also studying hard irl.
A lot of development trial was on sync but then Google broke function = wasted development time.
Also, 'Jelly' browser has replaced 'Gello' so dev is probably having to look at that impact.
I'm hoping for updated chromium soon at least, but I still have a little more patience to give...

People need to sacrifice the sync function.
Its a form of spyware. Even the most privacy focused browsers like slimjet, iridium browser, dragon Browser, it totally destroy all privacy functions,
the browsers I did mention do not call home to google or send data to their servers but if you use sync you will be logged in and profiled all the time you use your browser
everything you do with your browser will be signed with your google account.
So please do not waste time into getting sync to work even though many complain about.
Performance optimization is more important, while pyrope is still king in reneder speed of webpages chrome is getting closer and closer with each update (including their bloat)
I don't use sync myself, but it was a popular request and the dev spent some time on it.
It's no longer viable now anyway (as the dev acknowledged earlier in the thread) so cannot be implemented even if anyone still wants it.
As far as I'm aware the dev is working to bring updated chromium version next.
There is a feature list in the OP which was being worked through. Also testers here were assisting with adblock on Snapdragon/Exynos devices.
Have a look back to his last few posts if you like for details. No indication that development has stopped, just slowed a bit due to recent circumstances.
As you say, perhaps Chrome is creeping up in the performance stakes, but they are a multibillion enterprise and original Gello was a product of a handful of devs working in their spare time and Pyrope is one dedicated developer!
I don't use Chrome on mobile...
I really love this browser, thanks devs for making this app a one of a kind. But I just noticed that the player of this app took too long to play a video esp on Facebook and also I can't seem to download the video. But still it is a lightning fast browser kudos to the makers.
recover tabs (browser session)

I had a Gello-based browser with a 100 opened tabs in the current session. Today, for unknown reason i've lost all my tabs in session. History won't help because the most of these tabs was opened a long time ago.
Is it possible to recover the list of these tabs or, at least, recover all URLs from the lost session?
The file "CURRENT" located at ROOT/data/data/org.cyagenmod.gello.browser/app_swe_webview/default/Session Storage/ was rewritten...
But there are few of other files with *.ldb extension in this folder. Also i've found "Local Storage" folder - some sort of database of web-sites from the lost session. I have made the backup of course (after lost of session).
Can you suggest me please, What can i do to recover session or visited URLs?

Hello, am I blind or there is no stop button? I hate when the browser on phone starts loading whatever page I had open an hour ago which I totally don't care anymore and it just wastes battery and dataplan. On Chrome I always tap stop. Can I do it on Pyrope? Anyway it would be better if this browser just did not bother loading the last open webpage, because I believe that people mostly don't want that especially if it has been last loaded a long time ago.

I think so. I've been back to Chrome for some time now and I'm happy with it.

I think, this browser is the only one with immersive full screen mode. That is important for small screen sizes(for my z3c especially) So i am using this browser for a long time, and will use it (I dont care google sync or other bloatish stuff, i like the minimalist structure of pyrope a lot). So do you plan to update pyrope? Actually i have only small issues like crashes on sites with certain contents. And if you ever update, will you update chromium version underlying pyrope? In other words, is chromium version updateable, or is it a completely different thing? I dont know if i am clear Thx

I have start to work on pyrope based on paranoid android browser chromium 60 version.
If have more time I can start to compile chromium stock.
What it's the favorite chance?
